Hime is a slender woman with long purple hair, tied with a white ribbon. She frequently wears the traditional attire of a miko that consists out of a purple hakama, a white haori with a sash-like belt and wooden sandals.When she is in her shinigami attire, she wears a modified shinigami robe, with a modified captain's coat, which possesses the special hikifune clan symbol. She has a relatively young appearance for her age and possesses a lot of beautiful features, save for when she uses her "killer eyes" to scare up her friends when they annoy her.

P E R S O N A L I T Y

Personality: Hime is usually very serious when carrying out tasks and mission assignments. she has an iron will and a determination to "never fail" as a resolve. she has been noted as being annoyed quite easily in regards to anything dealing with loud noise. This includes people who are overly expressive and flamboyant. she seems to dislike participating in parties and tasks that she deems as "a waste of energy". Despite these traits, many of those that have served and currently serve under her have boasted about her somber attitude and peaceful demeanor in everyday life. she can be very tempermental if she feels someone views her as unworthy or looks down upon her in any way, making her very similar to Misaiko. For this reason she works hard often spending time training mentally through meditation or physically through combat excercises. According to her, Yamamoto once told her that the next tier of power can only be reached through effort, determination, iron will and dedication. There are times that she has been seen very silent and apparently in deep thought. Many have tried to probe and ask questions to reach the root of such heavy deliberation, but none have been successful.

Despite her anti-social disposition, she is quite friendly outside of work, most evident in her bilingual knowledge acquired from earth. She is someone who is described as serious yet caring, and cold, yet loving. She is always willing to help those in need, if they request her help, and not at all above training others in order to help them improve on their abilities. She is even fond of hanging out with other captains, and exchanging pleasantries. Hime is very mature when it comes to most situations and she is always known for keeping her cool, instead of running into battle without an assured strategy in mind. Most of Hime's peers respect her because of her calm and collected manner of handling situations. She is completely cynical, when it comes to battle, and will not hesitate to eradicate her opponents on the spot. While she does not constantly welcome fighting, she is a honed warrior and an accomplished assassin. Not many are able to goad her in battle, and it is very rare for her to lose his composure in the face of cocky or insulting opponents. When it comes to the battle field, Hime has a mind of steel and an undying will to grasp victory and honor, for her subordinates and her division.

Hime has a completely different personality when she spends time on earth or in her fifth division office. This side of her is described as a mother figure to others, which however is strongly denied by Hime, who states that everyone views her as more of a big sister, then they do as a mother. This side of her makes her former disposition seem like a complete illusion. She is often seen wearing a miko outfit, with a different hakama, which is usually always light purple in color. This side of Hime is not a rare sight, but still very surprising. She claims that she only uses it as a mask, but she secretly enjoys acting in this kind manner and is always fond of helping others in the many perils that frequent their life, whether old or young. However, just because she has this nice persona, there is one scary thing about her when she is angered. When she becomes angry, annoyed or if any person breaks the rules of the division, and when she's giving threats (like if Minato and the others learn the to much she'll kick them out and leave them in the streets) a demonic visage appears behind her and is frightening enough to scare even Fujimaru and Tsukiumi into submission. It is possible that she learned it from Takehito Asama doing it first. Which made her smile for the first time.

All in all, Hime can be described as sage-like, confident, kind, motherly, and a myriad of other personalities that she present's as though she were a role player. Out of the many personality traits that she possesses she claims that her normal demeanor and her kind side, are what makes up the true Hime. In her down-time, she is frequently seen walking her pet in earth world, or doing paper-work in her division. She is also very fond of cooking, and in subsequent appearances is seen cooking for her subordinates on a daily basis. Hime is very caring yet strict, when it comes to commanding her seated officers and her vice captain, but when they show her hard work, she is very proud and often seeks to reward them. In that regard, Hime will not go for lazy or disobedient soldiers. Though she is not above trying to work with them, as long as they don't plan to betray the soul society, or even attempt to kill her. While used in a comical manner, Hime seems to be very annoyed by the name Kirei, as it brings back way too many bad memories for the young woman.

B A C K G R O U N D

History/Background:

Originally, Hime wasn't born as Hime[i], but instead as a woman known as kirei hikifune hailing from a clan known as the hikifune. They weren't exactly a noble clan nor a well known clan, so their name wasn't something one would instantly run in fear of or bow in respect. They were relatively normal, and they did not complain about this a single time during their existence. Kirei was the first born daughter, as such, she was the older sister of the younger Kirio hikifune. Since the clan did not have a reputation for bringing in a large income of yen, Kirei decided to make her way into the rank's of the popular gotei thirteen. A dream that most student's who hailed from the shino academy, dreamed of upon their graduation. She wasn't originally welcomed with happy result's. However, upon the moment she entered, she amazed everyone and passed the academy with flying colors. As a student, she was peerless. She trained with a madman's zeal perfecting technique's only with her sword on a daily basis. She even went into the deeper part's of rukongai in order to improve upon her Hakuda as well. She always had the passion to succeed, in order to make her younger sister happy and support her. It had become her only wish as a bigger sister.

Kirei soon decided to leave after Akio sucuumbed to his illness. She saw that Kirio had control of the kitchen all by her 15-year-old-self. Kirei then, like her older brother, joined the Gotei 13. However, Kirei was soon promoted to the Lieutenant of the 1st Division, directly under the Captain-Commander (who was the current clan leader of the 1st Noble Clan). That gave Kirei the ability to stay at the 1st Noble Household's manor again. Soon after returning, she was promoted. Kirei was soon promoted to the now-vacant 7th Division Captain's position. Her quick ability to learn things and her powerful Zanpakutō made her quite the revered shinigami.

However, the growing Kirio was naturally gifted herself, and while it made Kirei very happy at first, there were signs of a jealousy growing inside her. she was stuck between being happy for her sister and feeling inferior to her, it didn't help the fact, that kirio nearly had gotten everything handed to her, as a child and even as she was growing now, the envy built inside Hime did not abate. She wanted to succeed, she wanted to become the successful one, why could this woman grow in such a time that she failed too? the trait's became far too noticeable. The time's where Kirei could smile proudly upon her sister's achievement's were only replaced with frown's and lies. She could not fail even once, and that fact angered the female to no end.

it was then on that fateful day, that Kirio and Kirei met for what would be their last time in a very long time. Kirio arrived to inform the purple haired maiden of her success. She had made her way into the ranks of the 0 division. a Feat, no, a rarity, which not many normal captain level shinigami were blessed to reach, was now something that her little sister had beat her to. It was indeed the 'straw that broke the camel's back'. Without any other way of releasing her hate, Hime attacked the girl, cursing her for what she could not attain in such a short time.

Kirio was almost hit by one of Kirei's many throwing knives she kept in her desk. Kirei had had enough of Kirio getting the good things in life. Kirei said that she regretted being sisters with Kirio, and that she'd much rather have their mother than Kirio. This caused Kirio to storm out and put a rush on her promotion. By the end of the week, she was gone.

Kirei soon left the Gotei 13 and put her lieutenant, Love Aikawa, in charge. Kirio heard that and chased after Kirei. The two caught up in the ruins of a town inside of the Soul Society's forest. Kirei launched an attack against Kirio, and so a fight between the two started. Kirio did not release her Zanpakutō, but Kirei went straight into Bankai. Kirio then used something she had never used before, Ikkotsu. The attack sent Kirei into a ruined building and caused it to collapse. While Kirei was pretty much unharmed from the building, she had lost her breath when Kirio punched her.

Kirio was soon standing over Kirei, who was trapped within the rubble (a piece of stone had pinned her legs down). Kirio dropped her Zanpakutō and looked down at Kirei, who then smirked. In a final push, Kirei shot up from the ground and pushed Kirio into a wall with just her reitsu. As Kirei grabbed the sword used in her bankai, Kirio knew she'd have to kill Kirei. As Kirei approached her, Kirio brought both of her fists back. Using Shunpo, she appeared in front of the charging rogue shinigami. She punched Kirei's chest and with that, she exited bankai. Kirio had used Sōkotsu.

Death. She should've undoubtedly felt death. The moment she was hit by the powerful blow, her heart stopped. Having experienced this form of death, everyone believed that Kirei was dead. The sister's who had once had a beautiful relationship were torn apart by the jealousy that Hime had harboured for some time. The moment she woke, she found her body in a hospital bed. "She's Dead...there really and truly is no way of coming back from such a blow" said the shinigami as she heard their voices leaving the room. She had indeed 'died' so why was she brought back to life? after coming to, she realized just what she had done only now. The lovely bond that she had held close to her heart, that she had with her sister ever since she was a lovely child was gone. There was no way to salvage something she had broken with her jealous hatred. Never again, would she experience the admiration that her sister always gave her. Why didn't she realize that one factor? Why did she not see, that maybe all her sister wanted to do was make her bigger sister proud? Tear's wet the cheek's of the hikifune woman. She had to make her escape. Thing's would be far to hectic, far too confusing, to remain here. The guilt would eventually eat her up, if she saw her sister even once. So in the deep dark night, Kirei Hikifune left the life she once lived and moved onto something else.

||Powers & Abilities||

Master Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Though she hasn't shown the extent of her abilities in this field as of yet, Hime has shown to rely mostly on hand-to-hand combat, rarely drawing her sword at all. Most of her battles are won, with her martial art ability alone, and when she combines her Zanjutsu and hakuda, she becomes exceedingly more dangerous then before. She possesses amazing dexterity and a flexible body that allows her to counter charging opponents with little to no effort at all. She is easily capable of taking on espada-level combatants with hakuda only. She prefers to go with an "off-the ground" method, and attack her opponents from an aerial stand point, yet she can fight on the ground just as well as she does in the air. She may be one of the rare shinigami, who employs Chinese martial arts within her fighting style. She seems to be most proficient in baguazhang, as well as Xingyiquan, mastering all forms of YinYang Bagua, and Xinyi Liuhe (心意六合, Heart and Mind Six Harmonies), the Henan Branch of Xingyiquan (形意拳), and one of the main three internal styles.

Master Swordsmanship expert: Hime is not only gifted in the art of Hakuda, but displays her best skill, in swordsmanship. A master of many laidō combat forms, Hime draws her opponents in, fighting less than her true capability, and then striking the fatal blow when her opponents believe to have the advantage over her. She can direct the might of one thousand blows, through one strike alone, leaving no chance for the opponent to recover. Her swordsmanship skill is so great she has reached the upper echelon of great swordsman talked about in japanese legends. She is most comfortable with using her hand to hand combat techniques in battle, but when she combines these with her sword, she becomes a collective fighting force.

Enhanced Strength: Hime possesses grand amounts of physical prowess, and is easily capable of fighting those who are four time her size, despite her small stature. She is capable of lifting very large objects with her hands without any visible strain, as well as pulverizing large opponents in battle. Opponents who have fought her, have given her the unusual nickname of "demon fist" or ogre, due to her unusually high amount of physical strength. this obviously makes her sword strikes even more powerful, and unlike those who either use elegance or strength in sword play, she is the rare type who utilizes both of these forms in combat.

Shuntensatsu(瞬天殺?, lit. "Instant Heaven Kill"): This is Hime's signature technique

Number One: Nadegiri (撫で斬り, "Clean Sweep" or "Killing Several with One Sword Sweep"): This basic technique allows for a precision cut of extreme force and speed, it can casually slice through large, multi-story high opponents protected by steel skin. The opponent can be killed with one swift slash so precise, that they aren't even aware of until after it has taken place.

Number Four: Kamishini (神キラー, "God Killer" or "Cutting down God with a Single Slash"): By swinging the user's sword across, they can make a sweeping motion that cuts everything within 4 km of the user. The force behind this technique is great enough to defeat even Adjuchas-level Hollow with little effort.

Number Seven: Tsubame Gaeshi (燕返し, "Swallow Reversal" or "Turning Swallow Cut"): A technique that mimics the motion of a swallow's tail during flight as observed. This cut was reputedly so quick and precise that it could strike down a bird in mid-flight. There are no direct descriptions of the technique. Hence, the "Turning Swallow Cut" has been reconstructed as a technique involving striking downward from above and then instantly striking again in an upward motion from below. The strike's second phase could be from below toward the rear and then upward at an angle, like an eagle climbing again after swooping down on its prey.
