Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki Empty Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki

Mon Jun 16, 2014 12:53 pm

The sounds of feet were headed for the confrontation put on hold by the very war that came to their doorstep. Tsubasa's very existence put on the line in that battle, he showed the trials and efforts of a man wearing that haori. It flowed behind him as he walked towards the place where Ibiki waited, she and he would be clashing on this eve. It wouldn't be something simple or something that anyone would be able to put words too. The greatest Hakuda vs Zanjutsu it would be truly a battle for the ages, Tsubasa's mind was settled on something. Something he never settled on that had been put up to display by the likes of Khala, she did something she never realized. She forged her own families greatest enemy, his eyes looked forward with simple emptiness. His mind was calculating the risks and what would happen, this battle would lead to many things. Injury, truth, mystery, and even strength. This was the one way he could show his friend how far his resolve really went. Tsubasa was settled on it as he walked this path. It dawned on him just how often he'd walked this road, how often he brought his Zanpakutō and got ready for a brawl unlike anything the world had ever seen. His figure had lacked any real injuries to speak of now as he was healthy so too was Ibiki. This is what they both wanted, warriors who desired to clash steel against fist and see who was greater. Tsubasa didn't take wagers or bets, but he would fight her as she wanted. He was at his absolute peak now, his best mental and physical state. She wouldn't defeat him if anything less than one hundred percent was brought. Did winning matter, no that wasn't the important thing. This battle was something simply to make it clear, these two were the top of the food chain. Or perhaps it was simpler than that, it was simply that they wanted to test their skills. Tsubasa's might had never truly been tested by a Shinigami, no one had ever pushed him to the edge where he had to adapt and change things. Tsubasa's very body was tense and excited to see just how far she'd push.

Tsubasa had realized much from Khala, it wasn't Yamamoto that he needed to surpass. Yamamoto hit his limitations, no the being that he needed to become greater than. Was the being known as the Soul King, he had to surpass God that was the place his mind was at. Would he proclaim it like a child as he did before with Yamamoto? No that wasn't needed, such displays and words weren't required his action would speak for him. That was what mattered, here in this battle he would speak volumes and show them all. Those who had given faith in the man with scarlet eyes, who didn't back away from life or battle. He also made a choice, Tsubasa had been torn between two worlds like a rope pulled by two sides. The Hero and Villain, making a choice on which he needed to be, what he should do so often slipping away. Tsubasa made a choice, his own he would follow his own path. Hero or Villain it didn't matter, those were merely pretty words used to describe things. They weren't important, their wasn't dark or light, he would walk the path without a color. Tsubasa made his own destiny and now it was clear that he accepted it. When he walked to this fight, like so many times before something about his visage was clear. Tsubasa had a fire in his eyes that had been lacking at times, before it was simply kill the enemy. That was his entire purpose and everything was settled on that. This Clash of Titans would be held in the 11th Division, all manner of people would be watching it from the safety area. Barriers designed so powerful that they could stop even Tsubasa from ripping them apart, he made certain the preparations were completed just for safety. Tsubasa didn't want this to damage the people or environment so if things went out of hand someone would stop the two if they could. Tsubasa's grim gaze looked on as he neared that place. The fight of perhaps his greatest career as a duelist which Tsubasa didn't pride himself on, but he knew he was well known.

Being good at dueling enemies simply meant more challengers then someone who sucked at fighting. Tsubasa knew someday in the girl he made a promise too would fight, Ibiki and he had a bond that wasn't able to be put into words. Respect between warriors perhaps, no they understood one another. Responded in full with their absolute best, he knew she wanted his best. Murder and death were something his mind thought upon, upon pushing that very limit to keep himself going. The ideal that he could absolutely fight till the sun disappeared. Why was it words couldn't be found for such a simple emotion that he was feeling, Tsubasa knew what was coming. He gripped his Zanpakutō as he got closer the time was coming. Kenpachi vs Head Captain, the battle for the ages was about to begin. They were both Titans on a whole different playing field than what someone would normally realize. Tsubasa's swordplay was legendary and so too was the effort of Ibiki's Hakuda. The two were said to be a pair that brought death to the battlefield. Now it was a clash between Zanjutsu and Hakuda, this was a battle well worth the price of admission. Many of the 11th Division people seemed excited and they felt their bodies go numb as his reiatsu arrived. Tsubasa walked stepping into the area as the door closed behind him. His frame looked ahead as he slowly put his right hand on to his blade's hilt. Drawing the weapon with a protesting hiss as he waited now for her to come. This was the arena, the place where they would clash his eyes darted around. Taking in the features, it was a simple place sand and very large. The shield protecting the people was exactly as it should be, he smiled a simple one that faded behind the shadow of his hair. They did everything as asked, well it was time to let it go. To become that machine that killed and fought like a demon, to become a monster. Not the one Nis or his family knew, but something brand new. Something forged in the flames of battle with Khala, this was something different.

The smile faded, his vision cleared as he closed the thoughts from his mind. Worries faded as he saw the path ahead, the sides once divided were a whole. This was the him he'd picked to be and he knew it well enough. Concern vanished as he looked ahead, his eyes waiting for the woman to arrive. Khala the Demon of the 11th would be here soon. Tsubasa's frame sat down and something about the man was frightening. Tsubasa gave off a blood lust that even demons couldn't match. Some of the 11th Division were commenting on how much he was like a Kenpachi, that Tsubasa's blood thirsty nature that hid beneath the surface of all of it. It was frightening being near him was like being stabbed, his words were not the type you could ignore. His eyes were hidden as he waited for her, his digits clasping the Zanpakutō hilt. He was waiting for the enemy to come, for the person to arrive for this battle to commence. He knew what would come of it, he accepted everything as it should be. The female's visage was clear in his mind, he didn't know the outcome they both had improved immensely since everything and grown as warriors. The fact of the matter was it was truly a battle that could go either way, his eyes remained hidden. But his reiatsu damaged the ground around him as he waited. He wasn't tapping into a fraction of his power, it was simply to let her know he was here and ready. She wanted to the Demon that he was to be here so it was, but so too was that hero. Tsubasa was the image of a Head Captain, he embodied it so much like those who came before. Many people can say that one or another were better at this than he. But Tsubasa changed the very fabric of the Gotei 13, he provided them with everything needed to survive without a Head Captain. His promise to Ibiki had been kept in full, they were successful. That was the truth and now they were going to enjoy a friendly battle, something between two friends that had fought long and hard.

Was this to be the final battle, that was truly up to the speculation as to what came next. It wasn't something either of these two had answers for perhaps it wasn't so complicated and things were simply as they seemed. A fight between two who grew up in violence and fought for centuries covered in blood, each reaching a conclusion of their own. It wasn't something so comfortable that one could simply write it off as a very soft way of doing things. Tsubasa didn't know the answers to the questions, did this mark the end of his time as the Captain Commander if he lost. Perhaps, but all things must end that is the cycle. Was Ibiki up to the role of leading them all, their were many complicated questions being asked. But the fact was rather simple they were just gonna have fun with this fight, confidence was something Tsubasa had. He could win, he also could lose as Ibiki was strong perhaps the only person to rival him in power. That was what Tsubasa enjoyed about her presence more than anything, his head raised. No more thoughts, no more worries, no more doubts. Their was no place for them here on this battlefield, this wasn't something he would do for everyone. But for Ibiki every single thing would be put away, he would respect his friend and give her his best. So nothing else mattered, not the Unabara, not the Gotei 13, not these people. Just her, she was the only thing he would think about. His mind would concentrate on one task defeating the Kenpachi and showing her the power he had. Making her acknowledge him, that would be it nothing else was of importance. This wasn't something as pointless as a display of dominance, no that held no value to them. This wasn't worth thought, this was something he couldn't put a word on. Not till now anyways, Tsubasa finally realized what this was. Their were many things he didn't know in the world, many things that slipped past his radar. But this wasn't one of them, this was something he knew well enough. This was a fight.

Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki Empty Re: Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki

Tue Jul 08, 2014 2:21 pm

Artist: UI-70 - Song: Phantom Ensemble (#9) - Word Count: 2000
There was a commotion coming all throughout the barracks of Squad Thirteen that the Captain Commander had issued a challenge to the current Zaraki Corps leader. This lead to the result of many Division Eleven members flocking to the doors of their Captains Manor. However, they wouldn't need to knock to get her attention. No. Ibiki was already prepared and dressed in her battle attire for just the occasion. When those doors slammed open from the force of her burning, purple reiatsu; the shackles of her Zanpakutō's chains echoed throughout the manor as she cracked her neck, popped her knuckles and had a huge grin come across her face in anticipation for this fight. This was something that even her fellow comrades in arms could feel and why they were firm, steady and in place when the auras of The Zaraki and Unabara clashed against one another.

While his spiritual pressure held within it the embodiment of bloodlust that made many men fall and falter from its physiological effects, Ibiki's held within hers the fortitude of discipline, strength and desire to overcome. This will was so strong, in fact, that numerous allies alike started to feel renewed, confident and reassured in their standings with the Captain Commander's energy raining down on them. Those who were once filled with fear and doubt, instead, had their minds injected with valor and the will to fight. Which is why, by cause and effect, a chanting started to bellow out throughout the Eleventh Division barracks as Ibiki's presence carried her followers of the Zaraki Corps alongside her and would surely guide them towards victory.

In no means did Ibiki believe or think that this battle was set in stone, but it wasn't in her character or line of thought to doubt her chances at winning this thing. Therefore, she needed to keep a strong mind and keep everything within balance and control. If she were to endure this clash, it was going to take an iron sense of determination and a pair of steeled fist to back up her desire to win. So as she stepped forth into the sandy ring to meet Tsubasa, there was nothing but a sense of assurance. The look behind her eyes was convinced and resolved enough to see this through until the very end. The atmosphere of the entire vicinity was filled with boldness, courage and energy that it ignited a storm of hollering all around them as the very walls of the Seireitei started to buckle underneath the lead of Ibiki's force.

Behind her stood the hopes, dreams and dedication that the Division Eleven troops had stored deep within their blades, fist and hearts. To shoulder this burden, to carry on with that task, was something that she did not take lightly. It is because of this duty to herself and those that she calls her allies that this battle was going to have to be decisive, earnest and filled with grit. So through this will did the sacred energies that lay within Ibiki started to react, contort and come to the surface as her Zanpakutō Spirit felt challenged, called out and ready to bare her fangs against even the Captain Commander for having the nerve to issue such a bold threat to her. Oni-Kyosei, to assist with this battle, was going to merge and become one with Ibiki and together, with the will of the Division Eleven Company, would they do their damndest to smash through this wall with the Fist of the Oni.

(CHANGE SONG HERE)

Thus, with a roaring clap of thunder, an explosion of purple energy screeched out of Ibiki's body. The skies themselves soon morphed into a indigo shade, as burst of lightning filled the heavens and could be felt throughout every corner of the Gotei Thirteen. Violent gust of wind then soon followed as this vortex of power surged higher into the hands of The Menacing Devil Girl; causing her eyes to be entirely devoured by a white light and snarls to escape her being. In this process, the consciousness of Zanpakutō and Shinigami were becoming fused into one and Tsubasa wasn't just going to fight one half of Ibiki soul -- he was fighting all of it.

As ravenous fangs and razor sharp claws extended out of her nails and teeth, a repeated flow of reiatsu unleashed itself from the pores of Ibiki's body and smashed against the landscape like an unforgiving typhoon; darkening the skies of the Seireitei and condensing a bright shade of purple and white light to engulf the ring where The Captain Commander and The Lone Zaraki stood. It was almost like a star itself had ignited within the barracks of the Eleventh Division, as many of the bystanders watching this felt completely flabbergasted at the power generating from their Captain. The earth shook violently to the point of causing numerous cracks to open up, the gust blew all around them into nothing and all the while the intensity of her spirit flared further towards the surface in this unreal moment.

And while this display of raw power and energy was astounding -- it wasn't just for show and tell. As the union between Ibiki and Oni-Kyosei drew closer, the immense distance that their reishi covered brought forth a materialization effect on the world. Yearning for a larger ring to battle in, the actual dimensions and space of the arena they stood in expanded for tens of miles; causing a distorting effect and the bystanders to be pushed further away from the Captains. However -- for those willing to pay tribute to this fight -- they were all telepathically informed that they could view the fight as if they were standing side by side between the Zaraki and Unabara. By connecting all of the Seireitei to this fight by her will, they'd be synced together with the energy generating from The Menacing Devil Girl to view this brawl up close and personal from their mind.

Henceforth, once that effect was put into place, a sufficient space was crafted for the two Captains. One befitting a battle between two of the strongest Shinigami that the Gotei Thirteen had to offer. They were going to need all the space they could get as Tsubasa would soon feel as if he were standing in the presence of two Ibiki's at this point. With pulsating veins sticking out of her muscles, sporadic cracklings of bioelectricity dancing around her body and eyes becoming entirely engulfed by a purple blaze; it was clear that this wasn't just any ordinary power up. This fact would be further cemented by the sounds of roaring all but drowning out the area in its overwhelming presence as her Zanpakutō came closer to the forefront of her aura.

Thus, as her merged state neared it's final stage, thousands of burst of shining white light started to converge on the area like falling stars. Once again, the true nature of Oni-Kyosei was awakening once more as she rounded up the collective will of the Zaraki Corps and gathered it into a tangible energy. Like a swirling tornado, this source of newfound strength circled around Ibiki and injected itself into the stream of collective energy that was already being pushed to a powered up state from the Suika and Oni-Kyosei joining forces. As a result, in one final outbreak of all-illuminating force, the ground around them turned into sunder and the multiplied screams of Ibiki bellowed out throughout the whole of the Seireitei. It tore through the very earth around them, obliterated all in her path and may even cause Tsubasa to take cover as this final breakthrough was intense and could be felt throughout the Soul Society.

Just what was going on at this point? Ascension. And the process of ascending -- was quite the painful one. Taking the combined powers of her Zanpakutō Spirit's energy and the mental strength of her comrades being morphed into a tangible force, the amount of strength being infused into her was indeed enough to rival the likes of her own Captain Commander at this point. However, as a result of this sudden growth of power within herself, she needed to brace her body and learn to become one with the pain being felt within her physical and metaphysical soul. It felt as if her entire entire spirit was set ablaze, body torn into a cosmic black hole and broken down into nothing in the most agonizing of ways.

Yet -- her body and spirit would not break. So in final yell that even the Soul King himself could hear, Ibiki unleashed all of her fevor, all of her pain and all of her sorrow into the world as the entirety of the 11th Division Company was consumed by a white and purple light. When it faded -- there stood Ibiki levitating out of a mile wide and deep carter in her fused state. Through a series of heavy breathes, she quelled the pain aching in her muscles and allowed her body to adjust to this new state of being. Most of her squadmates were completely without word as they hadn't the idea of power Ibiki was capable of summoning into her being. The stern gaze in her eyes gave the impression as if she were a different person, but Oni-Kyosei and the will of the Eleventh Company were all but flowing within her in a harmonized state.

Therefore, no matter where Tsubasa stood, this awakened Zaraki would stare him down as if she were peering right into his soul. The resolve flowing from her was strong, strong enough to become a actualized force in the world. So as she stood before him, so to would her ideals and everything she stood upon be in toe. It was the very reason that the primary ability of her Zanpukto was named "Resolve Force". She intended to prove that point very well along with the promise they forged in blood on this battlefield.

You must be Tsubasa, right?" The voice that emitted out of The Devil Girl's mouth seemed like her regular self, but with a persona that was more gruff and deep in nature; as if two people were speaking at once. "Well, you should know what you are getting into. You see, I am her Zanpukto: Oni-Kyosei. We've unified our souls together as I could tell you weren't interested in having a boring spare." Cracking her neck to work out the cinks and soreness in her body, Ibiki exhaled a deep breath before continuing onward. "So whenever you are ready, we'll give ya a match worth dying for. This is the will of not only the Oni-Fist, buit the strength of the Zaraki Corps flowin' through us. So you'd be best suited to brace yourself to deal with the orns of the beast; as we are charging full force at you."

With that, Ibiki motioned with her right hand for Tsubasa to charge at her and she'd soon take a defensive pose by holding each of her fist above her head and spreading her legs. After that moment, an explosion of purple energy with white exhaust expanded out of her body and the tables would be set for these two to begin their battle. The entire arena was all but silenced in the wake of this battle, but so to was the soul of Ibiki. The worries of the world were but a distant memory, the threat to the Soul Society hushed and all that was in her minds vision was this brawl and what was to come throughout the progression of her fist and his blade colliding against one another in a battle of Hakuda and Zanjutsu at the highest level. It was certainly going to be a battle for the history books and the ball was now in Tsubasa's court to get the first move of this historic clash underway in this battle of bloodlust and willpower.

Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki Empty Re: Clash of the Titans, Tsubasa vs Ibiki

Tsubasa's mind wasn't too perplexed by the power burst she'd used to reach his level. The Zanpakutō was correct a regular spar between these two wouldn't of been too interesting. Tsubasa had a bit more energy in the tank than her, he slowly raised his sword listening to her speak. He cleared his throat now as the air became cold. Tsubasa's eyes turned blue as he smiled faintly, something he rarely did as the smile slowly became more confident. She had revealed that she could handle it though he did question how long her body could keep the strain of that powerful energy. But it was time to fight her without reserve, Tsubasa's energy shot through the area like nothing before it. Only a couple people were capable of the display he put on, lighting was going around dancing. Destroying things as he walked forward slowly, his Zanpakutō drawn and at the ready. It was time for this fight to begin, their was only one other who'd ever put out the energy Tsubasa did of elemental nature. Yamamoto his eyes were piercing and something about this entire thing felt odd. "This is it, you two are prepared..that is good.." Tsubasa wasn't nervous about this, it wasn't something he seemed entirely capable of as he looked ahead with nothing but those piercing blue eyes. He brought the sword down sending a giant slash of power, it was like a Getsuga Tensho without the energy but the slice went across the ground towards Ibiki. It was easy to create such an attack almost novice in it's nature. But nothing but a warm up as the real battle was about to begin, Tsubasa's energy followed after that slash. Sending lighting at the figure of Ibiki, the static build up in the area was intense. The heir would stand on end for most people, the more Ibiki got moving the higher the levels of it her body would give off as they fought. Tsubasa had a plan and would execute it here. If the lightning wasn't meant to damage her really. It was meant for far greater things down the road, Tsubasa had come to his conclusion.

Becoming light was holding him back from what had to be done, things needed to happen a certain way. Someone else needed to helm this ship so he could act in secret, Tsubasa was darkness and death incarnate. But something else was needed of him, how much more did he have to give? He gave so much already, this had always bothered him but it was time for a fight. Tsubasa took his stance getting ready, these two fighters were quick. Both extremely skilled in their fields so the sudden movements of using ten thousand fists and blade strikes. Everything was going to count on the fact that, these two weren't the everyday scum they fought. Ibiki could fight and match Tsubasa's swordsmanship with excellent Hakuda. Tsubasa could fight at a range, Ibiki he suspected could do so as well. But he knew his friend well enough, this would be a melee range bout. He knew what she and her Zanpakutō were seeking. So it was time to trade blows with her, to begin this extremely fast pace battle.

Tsubasa vanished as the entire ground sent dirt every direction, he'd used his shunpo to close the gap. Tsubasa's sword came down at the chest coming from the left shoulder to the right hip, in a slash. He had been prepared for the next couple moves as Tsubasa's shunpo was the superior of the two. His eyes were focused in as time seemed to slow down as he didn't move much during the swing. He focused in on Ibiki intensely, his focus allowing him to slow down things and view them far better than most. Suspecting things to last the way they were was one thing, but this fight was a long time coming. Ibiki and Tsubasa's first clash of blows, the entire area seemed alive waiting for it. The field built was taking the beating required, Ibiki's personal changes were interesting. He'd acknowledged them and taken them in with interest. After this blow his next moves were planned out ahead, things could only grow more intense here. Now if he was right Ibiki would dodge or block the sword blow to try and come in, but Tsubasa was prepared for either situation.

Ascension, perhaps Ibiki would open the path all the way. Tsubasa's eyes remained taking in every single detail. Those nanobots in his body painstakingly helping that body keep moving as it did. The next moves were focused out by him, if Ibiki blocked him he was prepared with something else. The static was building up higher as Tsubasa got moving, the fight was going to be interesting. Things were insane here now as the lighting sparked around the area. He wasn't frightened of the female in the slightest. She was a teddy bear far as Tsubasa was concerned, this was perhaps the key. Both of them needed to open the door and step through, Tsubasa and she both needed to rise to the next level. To the next level of power and skill, but it was time for the battle to proceed. Matching blows would most likely be the first outcome as the two were ready. Tsubasa's mind blocked out things outside the fight deciding to focus on Ibiki only.
