Chance Encounters - Page 2 Empty Re: Chance Encounters

Artist:Skylar Cahn - Song:The Dark Fall - Word Count: 1558

The nameless soul found the emotionless to be some of the most interesting or boring individuals that graced the lands of the living and dead. While they tended to lack the character of most men and women, their decisions and actions could be either entirely obvious or highly unpredictable. The mind of these entities was an enigma of the unknown, functioning on mixed logic and fact-driven ambition. To those without even a sense of purpose or a quest for the unknown things become even more unorthodox. For to a soul with no apparent purpose of feeling, what could one due to sway them or bend them to a more grand design? At the least they would desire to know the unknown, as a being that acted purely on knowledge could do nothing but gain from attaining greater understanding of the world and their own gifts. The Adjuhas stood quietly, thinking on the potential subject before it and their potential applications as a future asset. Their very being wasn't much now, but the potential of what they could become was an investment. The most powerful souls locked behind their own limitations could very well reach the state of superiority through a single tap, and with such a union could bring the fiend's next leap to instilling eternal disarray.

In her sudden acceptance, the Hollow warmly chuckled. One of such character was sure to be very to the point on their answer, and to its own fortune it had sided with the path of its unholy resonance. It made sense, few would turn down something so simple when a gift so vast awaited them immediately after the deal was made official. Its eyes looked directly into the void abyss of her iris, taking some amusement from the simple answer, along with curiosity.Minerva as of the moment served a mystery, an unknown piece to be refined and revealed a gem or a disposable stone that could very well come to form something greater if need be. Coming to bring the true nature of an untapped well was always an interesting experience and a substantial first step in its resurrection to power. Every rise begins with a gamble, and with so many things unknown in this union; even if only temporal, it was a good start.

"Of course not. If I wanted one of those I'd never offer them a contract to make them such. I look forward to seeing how you develop from this. This will take a moment, so I ask you stay still until it is complete." The Adjuhas smiled, slowly stretched out its arms toward Minerva and stretching outward a single clawed finger. Indeed, its intent was never slavery, but to endorse enough of a positive bond on another they they served just as faithfully without the need of dominant control. That kind of compassion and loyalty served far better than a puppet with no motive other than a command. These reasons all mounted to perhaps the one good trait about the parasite forged in evil. It had a great fondness for its followers and their well being to ensure its own fate in turn. Energy began to flood the air, spiritual pressure building up from the Hollow's body. Their eyes remained locked with Minerva's, the terms of their agreement set in intangible stone. Crimson sparks of electricity manifested around the finger, crackling loudly in the deathly silent desert. As soon as the tip of the claw made contact with the Arrancar;s forehead, he stopped pressing forward; presuming the young soul kept in place as asked.

If all had gone as intended, the electric current would begin to spiral around the finger, projecting itself directly into the Arrancar's body and entering her spiritual network. The energy now coursing through them wouldn't harm them in any way, but the true nature of it would be impossible to mistake. The power coursing through them was extremely vile, an incarnation of raw evil, killing intent, and hatred manifested in its purest form. The pressure exerted from the Adjuhas increased, sand being pushed back in every direction by the building power. The real destructive power of the beast showed itself in bulk, the landscape around them collapsing downward under the pressure. Streaks of black matter built up around the two of them, encasing the duo in sphere of dark power. It spun rapidly in place, creating powerful winds that stretched across Hueco Mundo for a large distance. The sound of lightning grew louder as more of it poured into the woman's body. At this point there wouldn't be any going back from the decision. The power coursed through Minerva's veins, digging deeper and deeper until it reached the core of her very soul! the current struck it directly, the malevolent power merging together in a single fragment of her being. The true strength and signature of the Hollow became apparent. While they once seemed an ordinary Adjuhas, it became painfully clear their true strength rivaled or even surpassed traditional Vasto Lordes!

Electricity ran through the air, spiritual energy around them reaching its densest point. All at once it exploded, sparks ripping through the outside of the air and the sphere itself being ripped to shreds. A bolt of black energy shot across the beast's finger and entered the Arrancar's body. In turn, a white bolt of energy followed from Minerva and entered the Hollow's body through the appendage. It wasn't painful, but the sensation will certainly feel extremely odd. It would feel like part of her very being, her piece of her soul had been removed and lost to oblivion. While part of who Minerva once was would feel alien, but it will not feel empty. Where a void could inhabit, a new fragment of a different soul took its place. The contract was made official, a small fragment of their very souls exchanged in an instant to make it final. The new piece of her being resonated with immense sin, the most destructive, nefarious, or indulging feelings, desires, and habits that defined her character bolstered many times over, if there were any to be effected. For such an emotionless spirit, the impact was unknown. The current died down, the storm generated around them slowing to a crawl and the distorted sands slowly pouring back into place. Faint spark of crimson continued to crackle around his finger, eventually dying out. The Hollow pulled its hand back, everything seemingly the same as before for the briefest seconds.

It all would come in a wave. The new fragment inhabiting Minverva's soul resonated with immense power. Evil energy coursed through her body and flooded her with new power well above what she possessed before hand! A black spiritual pressure would meld with her own natural power, creating a duality of aura consisting of both of their powers. It'd all spike at once and grant the woman an immediate increase to her overall strength and Hollow instinct. At the least this surge would continue for a solid minute until the Arrancar's body adapted and took full control of the sudden increase to their reserves. The fragment of the nameless soul's being helped stabilize the body and allowed it to easily adapt to such raw power, drawing it back in over time. The Adjuhas's own energy reserves began to recede back into their body; hidden from the world once again. The creature took in a deep breath, relaxing itself for a moment after the ordeal. It hadn't raised the girl's strength to its own level, but compared to before it was definitely nothing to consider minor.

In the end of it all, the creature spoke once more with a more friendly expression and tone. With the deal in place, there was no need to consider Minerva a stranger. Though the order sounded simple, its complexity outclassed most contracts even orchestrated by the devils of Hell and Heavem."That should suffice for now. You'll take time to fully adapt to that. By the way, my name is Ruvik, and you can consider me an ally from now on."
