The time is currently 6:50 PM in Selfoss, Iceland. The temperature is currently twenty five degrees, it is beginning to snow, the skies are turning scarlet and a crimson dome is covering the city of Selfoss itself to prevent Vanguard operatives from breaking in. Their objective is to get pass the line of tens of thousands of Shadow Fall Troops that are now guarding the borders starting through a wide field of grass, dirt and rock. And, for antags, their goal is to otherwise prevent them from breaking through this line. The thread will start in the mountains of Selfoss.

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Bonetrousle (Gooseworx Remix) - Word Count: 807

Drama, violence, action... And especially, blood shed! All of these things were aspects of war that Murai was expecting when she was shipped out to this chilly, icy, good for nothing hunk of rock in the middle of the ocean. This was boring so far, something that left her wandering about the desecrated and natural earths of this land... So much bloodshed was about to happen on top of this soil, families being ruined, lives taken forcibly, honor and valor, all the things that should be making her feel a bit more excited. Right now, however, all that she felt was anxiety, the want to get this done quicker and worrying about if her enemy would never arrive. All that she truly had with her as company were her skeletons, who she aptly named Charles and Lincoln for no real reason at all. Well, there was a reason for Lincoln, she had given him a top hat she had found in the middle of the battlefield. A childish thing to do, but what more is there for her to put her time into-

Oh right! Her original idea of what to do, the whole reason she scouted ahead of the rest of the Shadowfall troops! A smile formed upon the Arrancar's lips as she clapped her hands together. The two skeletons she had recently animated quickly ran over and lifted her up as if she were a queen, Charles actually speaking up. "Your wonderfulness, the enemy should be arriving soon, perhaps we should make has-" A quick smack led to Charles' head behind spun around the neck bone as he was aptly shut up, teasing look on Murai's face as she waved off a hand to dismiss their rather -RUDE- comments. "I got it, I got you you knuckle heads. Just let me do my thing, like damn." It seemed as if Murai was taking this whole battle thing a little bit too lightly... But that was Murai for you.

The two animated skeletons continued to carry her through the empty fields, only moments away from a bloody battle. Each step led to Murai snapping her fingers and pointing her hand in a random direction, the ground shifting at every location she pointed too as bone structures shot straight up from the ground. They were most of the time cover for future fights. 8 feet tall bone walls at least 6 inches deep with pure, hard, calcium-packed bones. This whole process went on for about a good 10 minutes as she made enough walls to help the Shadowfall forces for when they charged forwards. About 25 made in total, and a strain put upon her body for this. It felt... Awkward to have something drain her energy like this, it has been a long time since she's -been- strained or even tested.

At the very least, some structures were made to help out these forces, to help defend against whatever might try to break in. In all honesty, was there really something strong enough to challenge these numbers? This was their home-land, right? Who would want to even invade? All these questions flew about within Murai's mind, but she soon swept her hand to the side to dismiss them. It didn't mean that much to her, she was just here to get rid of the boredom that's been leaving her anxious for so long. She has her two 'best' friends with her, and a new friend all the way back at home. She at least had a reason to return home this time, and some will to make it out of this alive.

But then came the question... What if she actually was at risk of death? Normally, this wouldn't cross her mind, but it didn't take a genius to feel the massive amounts of energy be exuded from the different powerful beings all on this pitiful piece of land. Death was something she hadn't considered all too much before. Sure, it was sometimes mentioned, but the thought of her actually dying never crossed her mind. Questions like these were ones that confused Murai, and just left her having further questions, so the thought was dismissed with a haughty chuckle and a rather loud declaration that she's too -good- to die on a rock like this one.

And so, Murai was left waiting... Watching, observing on top of her two skeletons, Lincoln and Fuckface. She figured that was a better name for the rude skeleton that thought it should give it's opinion to -her- when she didn't ask for it. A hand rested upon the top of Lincoln's hat, whilst the other calmly rested upon Fuckface's head, smile upon her lips as she waited. She did have an image to keep up, you know? What good would a member of the Monsuta be if they looked to be worried or afraid?

It had been quite some time since Lydia had done this. Her hands were almost shaking as she held the rubber grip of the joystick in her GHOST-CV's Fighter Jet mode. She had never fought in a war before, and this time would be no exception, honestly. Today, she was merely going to provide supervision and control of the battlefield from above. Unity to the units, who would otherwise be lacking in the event of a disaster. Despite this, there were only two units she would officially be supervising, and those were that of the TCCU clones she held in the cargo hold of her jet, ready to release at a moment's notice. The island itself was several kilometers out, they likely wouldn't reach it for a few minutes at the least.

Lydia would turn around and face them, looking through the narrow hallway leading to the cargo hold. "Okay, boys! We're almost there! All we gotta do is get in there, wipe out the baddies, and get out! You're pretty much invincible with me around!" She would say, pointing her real arm's fingers toward herself as she did so, her bionic hand still firmly clasped to the throttle. The air would whistle on by them in their airborne fast-hurtling container as she turned on sonar. The battlefield was likely full now with the sounds of clashing steel, the familiar pop of gunfire, and the loud roaring of explosions.

Of course, she had no intention of watching the battlefield from above! Only an idiot would leave themselves strategically disadvantaged like that. No. She had other plans. Better plans.

"Yeah! Nothing can beat us if you're around, strange lady!" One of the TCCU's spoke. It seemed just a tad like sarcasm to Lydia... causing her to suspiciously eye the TCCU that opened his mouth in such a manner. "Well it seems like you haven't heard of me yet! I'm the Yayjuu's GREMLIN squad Overwatch. The strongest battle tactician around! I didn't get that title from being stupid! You boys'll do fine!" She would say, giving a thumbs up to the two children that sat in the back of her GHOST. They both would smile at each other, then back at Lydia. It seemed the rumors about them being driven like slaves by the TTCU were true, as they showed no form of rebellion towards her, even though they had literally just met slightly before they boarded the GHOST.

Lydia sighed, turning her eyes back to the open skies. More water still. Then, she saw it. That massive green expanse! Thank the gods above, she hadn't seen land in days! She could almost touch it with her toes if she weren't several tens of thousands of feet above the ground.

Taking a steep dive, she turned and stood from the cockpit, allowing her armpad to calculate descent for her while she took care of business. Activating her communicator, she connected to the two via a secure Yuudeshi network line. If what they said about Shadin was true, these boys would be able to hear her in their heads! Spooky. "Comms check, one, two, one, two!" She would say, holding onto one of the railing bars on the inside of the jet. When everything was satisfactory, she viewed the Yuudeshi Grid stats on the enemies below, as well as took stock of Vanguard Forces. "Hello members of the Vanguard! You need not worry! The Yayjuu's sent their best tactician to help you win this fight!" She would say to the Vanguard troops using their comms line. Then, before saying anything else, she took note of a stronger power level on the field below. Most of the guys down there were almost weaker than even Lydia was... they'd never stand a chance against someone that strong.

"Well boys! Look like I found you both a target! Your mission is to neutralize that enemy and allow our Vanguard brothers safe passage into the city! Follow my words to the T, and you'll both make it out of this alive! Got that?" Lydia would say, utterly prepared to take responsibility if her plans failed. She wasn't very much of a fighter... but she could at least fight alongside them like this.

"Yes, ma'am!" They would both say, grinning wide as could be. They seemed really excited for this battle for some reason... Well, Lydia didn't mind. It just meant this battle would be over that much more quickly. Opening the hatch, she would release the pair so that their trajectory would land them rolling right in front of Murai. Then, she would fly her jet clean out of view, crashing it hard into the water once she was a safe distance from the island. Once she hit the surface of the water, her GHOST could immediately convert into it's submersible form. She let it drift slowly to the bottom of the shore, which was less than a mile deep, as she wasn't too far away from the coast. When the large canister like submersible touched the ground, it would anchor itself into the sand.

Screens with maps and grids and charts all flooded the area now. Lydia was in her fuckin' element now, and there was no stopping this Yayjuu until every last unit she controlled was dead. First order of business, fixing up the state of this field. "TCCU 1, I need you to distract the enemy. TCCU 2, I've got a special job for you." She would say, tilting back in her chair as she typed furiously into her computer to check the specifications of this enemy. All she was registered as was "Murai". No additional data besides her evident power level. "You're gonna take down those walls and help the Vanguard push up, while TCCU 1 takes care of this... Murai."

TCCU 2 would nod, looking at TCCU 1 promptly before dashing off with insane speed back to where the front lines of the Vanguard were, beyond the spires of bone. Once he arrived, it was clear that Shadowfall had the advantage here because of those spires, and they got there just a little bit late. They were on the losing side.

Back in the submarine, Lydia looked carefully over the composition of the walls. They were made of a calcium like substance similar in makeup to... bone? "Be advised TCCU 1, you opponent may possess powers which allow the manipulation of bone matter. Try not to get hurt." And with that, the clone laughed.

Charging up a fistful of lightning as it ran to engage Murai, TCCU 1 had a spark of determination in his eyes. "Looks like I'll be your opponent for now!" He'd say, swinging the energy toward her face with a voltage powerful enough to temporarily stun even an arrancar such as herself. The odds were not even, not nearly close. But he knew his limits. If that blow landed, he would quickly jab a second fist full of lightning straight into her gut. If he missed, he would dash behind her and swing down both hands at her back. If any of these blows landed, however, Murai would get a sharp tugging sensation throughout all of her body as the electricity behind the blows would pass through her, if she were particularly not resilient to lightning, this may even cause her to fall over and vomit with the contraction of her muscles.

Lydia looked to the second TCCU, and thought up a plan. If she could organize the battlefield on their side, then form a unified strike, with TCCU 2 leading the Vanguard's push toward Selfoss, and TCCU 1 holding off the arrancar, it would be fairly easy for them to win this. Numbers were more or less on their side. "TCCU 2, break those walls down with your lightning. But only take the outermost wall for now. I'll have you eliminate the rest on command. When you're done, help the Vanguard out by keeping those enemies at bay." Then she switched her channel to the Vanguard's. "Greetings, Vanguard allies! It's time to get started, so we need everything niiice and organized-like! I need all the close ranged fighters up in the front, with riflemen inbetween their ranks! The TCCU there is going to help you hold off Shadow Fall while we organize. Leave all that to him. For now, if you've got heavy artillery or long ranged weaponry, move yer' ass on to the back! We need you where you can rain destruction safely. Anyone who can throw up barriers, I need you right behind our riflemen and swordsmen. Healers behind that, and artillery in the back. I'll give you more orders shortly, if you so choose to follow~!" Then she would swivel her chair around to the other side of the submersible. Looking at a chart containing the powers of the The Child Clone Units, she committed them all to memory. Those boys would be her trump card this round.

"TCCU 1, I need you playing defensive. We need to discover her move set if we wanna beat the boss, okay? Don't put the cart before the horse, cause then the horse'll stomp you into the ground." She said somewhat sternly, her voice more cautious than upset. Time to see what this girl was made of.

The Night Battle: The Selfoss Clash [Iceland Conflict Event] Empty Re: The Night Battle: The Selfoss Clash [Iceland Conflict Event]

Artist: Undertale OST - Song: Megalovania CanOfSoup Collaboration Remix - Word Count: 1003

Something was coming, something was zooming straight here... Action thought Murai? Would she finally relieve the boredom that's been thrust upon her by this rather cruel world? The answer to that question would lay in hand with how this fight should play out. The arrancar found herself still waiting on top of the grasp of Lincoln and Fuckface, staring out rather plainly for anything to happen, anything to approach. The three of them remained silent, the top of Lincoln's top hat held unto rather tightly just as Fuckface's skull was clamped unto by delicate fingers. The girl saw nothing yet, but it didn't take a genius to know something would eventually arrive. There's been combat all over the island, what makes her area any different?

The answer to her boredom was finally approaching... Were those missiles? No, couldn't be, so what were they? The odd objects soon slammed into the ground and began to roll towards her... One heading straight to her, another heading off to the side. This struck her as a little bit odd, but hey, who is she to complain? Finally, a real fight! Something for her to focus on that isn't mind numbingly boring or irritating. The two beings began to reveal just what they were... People? Who in their right mind would launch people this way into a fight- Well, to be fair, if Murai could, she totally would. A grin began to come across her face, lips curling upwards as she held tightly unto Lincoln's hat now, waiting at the one in front of her seemed absolutely ready for combat while... The other ran away?

That didn't matter all too much, since now there was an immediate threat. A being charging straight towards her, a large amount of energy concentrated within it's fist to allow it the ability to possibly -harm- Murai. Harm her? Get a hit off? She considered that a challenge, a way of relieving boredom. A haughty chuckle escaped her lips as her two assistants sprung into action. Fuckface and Lincoln bot had to act quickly for this to work. "Madam! Up you go!""For your safety, your wonderfulness!" The two skeleton's voices rang out with an aura of sophistication, most likely due to Lincoln's hat as the two of them threw the woman they were carrying up into the air. Murai found herself soaring up at least 30 feet, top hat snatched from Lincoln as it was placed right on the top of her head, fitting quite snugly as she was left grinning like a childish fool.

Fuckface and Lin-can't (his new name due to no longer having a hat to resemble Lincoln) both prepared to face the assailant's attack, knuckles cracked as one of their finger bones ever popped off and fell to the ground. Sure, a minor set back, but they were ready to fight. The two of them turned to the charging fighter, boney fists pulled back as they each took a step forwards, shouts of rage an d sophisticated anger as their fists flew forwards.

The experience was rather rattling as both skeletons were decimated with one strike, only held together by Murai's magic, bones made from her rather than a true corpse. Pieces shattered in every direction, shards falling to the ground as they were dismantled on the spot. The woman had lost her assistants, but instead, had gained a vantage point. Far up in the sky was Murai, standing on a floating platform only 2 x 2 made entirely of bone that ended up being an inch thick. Not made for defense, but just for something for her to remain on as she scanned the area... Spotting a certain being in the distance attempting to destroy her barriers that she worked so hard to make.

"My oh my, so exciting~! As they say in show business, break a leg! Literally! That's what you just did to Fuckface and Lincoln over there! So ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuude~!" Another haughty chuckle escaped Murai's lips. This was going to be so much fun~! She was sure that they couldn't exactly... Well... Fly, so this should let her torture them as much as she wished. At least, that was the plan in her own mind, anything is fair in love and war, right? That's why that -thing- would even so much as to dare destroy some of her only friends. Two of her three only friends, actually. No matter what the situation, she still had the upper hand through vantage point, and this current point let her observe the TCCU heading towards her structures.

A snap of her fingers led to an awfully devious surprise for them if they attempted to destroy one of the barriers with a physical strike such as the other. To Lydia, the bones still seemed to be that, bones... However, the bone marrow inside began to melt, burning up and exuding large amounts of an acidic substance. Due to the size of the wall, she couldn't make it the strongest form available... But if a crack formed anywhere on the wall, this green substance would surge outwards. The liquid flowing outwards over whatever had allowed them to flow, melting away at flesh and even leather clothing if applicable. If they wore metal armor, it would only begin to start eroding away at a rather scary pace as the oozing liquid continued to ooze out until the walls were left absolutely hollow. 6 inches deep was certainly a lot of room so something as disgusting and nasty as this, but hey, all is fair in love and war, right?

"Don't touch my stuff." What was once an overly cocky and rude tone turned into a childish one, similar to a spoiled brat. The sentence was said clearly as Murai's arms crossed over her own chest, eyes staring straight towards the target of her scorn, the one who wanted to harm the walls she worked so hard to create. Yeah, she's gonna be pouty. That's her stuff and they were about to touch it. She didn't like her stuff touched.

The Night Battle: The Selfoss Clash [Iceland Conflict Event] Empty Re: The Night Battle: The Selfoss Clash [Iceland Conflict Event]

Artist: Draper - Song: Aspire - Word Count: 997

At the bottom of the sea in the dark of night, Lydia shivered. The cold touch of reality just set in. These were people's lives... Real people with feelings, and others they cared about... It was not a matter of saving them, but a matter of which side could die the least! It fell to her to unite the masses, and command the battlefield. As everyone fell into rank, she began to get reports of acid spilling on the battlefield. More casualties than she anticipated.

"All units, this is tactical command speaking, be advised there is a chemical hazard in the immediate area, hold position while we clear this up." Then, swirling her chair back to the other side of the room, she flipped a switch to the TCCU's channel. "Okay, boys, those bones have acid in em' it seems, and acid generates energy. TCCU 2, charge up some lightning, then run it over the surface of that acid. We're gonna cause a chain reaction. TCCU 1, prepare to get some severe juice from TCCU 2. We can win this in like two seconds if you can manage to land this hit. Now then, Unit 1, I need you keeping one hand free to catch this lightning, okay?" She would say, tapping her fingernails onto the desk before her.

----------------------

With the destruction of the bones before him, and his target now standing a ways above him, he figured now would be a grand time to bring her back down to his level. Charging up an attack, he raised one hand, and lightning crackled surrounding it. He was preparing to use his free hand as a ground, and call lightning down directly in front of Murai using the other. If he succeeded, it wouldn't hurt her at all, but it would in fact shatter the bony structure she stood on completely. That was all he needed. Of course, flight was within his capabilities as a clone of Shadin himself, but it felt much more fun to take this position than to just go up there and curbstomp her for thinking she had the upper hand. If the acid in the bones sprayed out, the lightning would quickly gain energy from it, much like in the same manner flames get more flammable from kerosene. If Murai were smart, she'd stop using acid in her attacks against lightning users, as that's essentially asking for being shocked like an overloaded battery.

Whether she fell to the ground or not, TCCU 1 would soul dash over to her, swinging a foot down over her head, attempting to knock her back to the earth while smiling broadly. "What's rude is you calling that nice skeleton gentleman Fuckface! Don't you have some manners? He risked his life to save you!" Said the clone, half joking at that pathetic attempt at defense. They were surprisingly easy to kill... given their master's power level. He was almost suspicious. And sure, big sis! I can probably beat this bony old hag with one hand anyway! He responded through thought, so as not to alert his enemy.

----------------------

Lydia chuckled at the boy's reply. "Glad to hear. Now, TCCU 2, proceed as planned. Use the spilled acid from each of the bone barriers to fuel the attack into the next barrier. That way our troops come out unharmed, the acid is gone, and the barriers all fall in one strike." Lydia cracked her knuckles. She had studied the effects of electricity on acid for quite some time in college, so this was one of those lucky times for her where she remembered something useful. She had actually tried to use chemical energy to power her arm at one point. But that gave it a weakness of being able to deplete. Which was why she would do just that with the bone arrancar's attack.

----------------------

Provided all of the bones still had acid within them, this attack would go as follows: TCCU 2 would stand behind the barrier ranks of the Vanguard, charging his lightning for a massive attack on the walls behind the first layer he had broken. When he had adequate enough energy, he would launch it full force into the first layer, at a crack through which green acid oozed. Destroying the whole of the wall was unnecessary if they could just make a hole and drive through. So while thousands of demons pushed forward, he merely stepped out of the barrier, holding his lightning like a spear, aiming dead true at the crack, and catching the blades of those closest to him, while frying them alive through the metal. Unlike the other TCCU, his face was more determined. He was serious. Flinging his hand forward, her manipulated the electricity to fly clean through several lower level demons, and strike the cracks. As it did so, the lightning itself grew in power, equaling one more lightning bolt with each pass through the barriers, absorbing the acid within and converting it into electrical energy as each bolt flew through a successive barrier. Strike, crack, break, repeat. Until it would break through the last wall. Crumbling it to the ground. That bolt would then be the one that TCCU 1 would catch, just before swinging his leg down, and charging the energy into his foot. The energy in this blow alone would be enough to knock Murai cold out, if not begin to fry her internal organs if she couldn't find a way to block or evade it in time.

If this was not the case: Then the bolt would merely strike the first bone wall, and break a large hole in it. Regardless of what happened, the TCCU would still fall back behind the Vanguard barrier, and catch a breather for a moment.

"I did.... What you said... sis... Damn those barriers... took so much energy out of me... Bone chick's a tough bone to break!" TCCU 2 would say, breathing heavily as he stooped onto the ground.

----------------------

Lydia would look at her screen in surprise, regardless of the outcome. Time to formulate the next part of her plan. This battle would be... interesting, to say the least. Although, at this rate, there would be no need to come out there herself.

Artist: Homestuck OST - Song: Beatdown Round 2 - Word Count: 1467

Murai was still left rather unaware of what was really going on within this fight. The arrancar only knew the bare bones to this war, and only knew that she had two foes challenging her. The fact that there could be someone far away controlling these fighters like a puppeteer seemed far-fetched to her. No matter the situations, Murai seemed to only know that she had to fight for the Shadowfall to assist them in keeping this area safe. It shouldn't be all too hard, right? People were usually just cannon fodder to her in the past, things to be toyed with and torn through. Very rarely did she ever find herself being challenged or even outclassed asides from one being. Lionus. But hey, that was her boss, no need to fight him anytime soon.

Rather, she had to stop getting caught up and focus on what was in front of her. Seemed easy enough, right? Wrong, her cockiness would eventually lead to her literal downfall, paying more attention to the one destroying her distant barriers rather than the one far below her. Eyes widened as a loud gasp escaped her lips, arms left flailing in the air as a bolt of lightning tore through the clouds high above and destroyed the platform she was standing upon. Luckily for her, she wasn't -that- stupid, the platform she was on was meant as a platform, not a barrier to deter people, so it lacked any acid to be used as energy... Didn't stop her from free-falling down towards the ground however, arms flailing in the air as legs kicked out. Despite realizing she was falling, she just... Wasn't quick enough to react, only doing enough to spin in the air to face downwards.

Her body slammed against the ground a few moments later, leaving a fairly noticeable indent upon the ground in the shape of her body, face-down... This obviously was not something she liked at all, grunt heard from her as arms shot outwards to press against the ground, the woman lifting herself up out of the ground without a scratch upon her body, one of her true strengths coming to light as the lack of any real harm to her body. Despite not seemingly taking any damage from the fall, she still cursed under her breath, standing tall to turn over to where the fighter was.

Emphasize on -was-. One moment she was standing.. The next, being attacked, eyes rather surprised at the speed shown by this being. She was too slow to give a proper counter-attack to the foot soaring towards her head, the heel slamming against the top of her skull as the sound of impact rang out, resounding someone slamming into a -very- dense wall. Murai's head was brought a few inches down, hierro keeping her body from receiving too much actual damage from the blow. Despite her lack of speed, she had durability on her side, her right foot slamming against the ground to hold her body steady, legs shaking as a smile curled upon her lips. The pain was there still, even with her defense... But she was going to have -fun-. Her body began to push back against the foot that tried to bring it down, both hands reaching up towards it to forcibly shove it straight back to the fighter so that she wouldn't have to deal with the pressure of him trying to -dirty- her dress further... It was already fairly ruined now, a few tears on the edges as dirt smeared all along it.

"He also doubted my decisions earlier! Don't worry though, he's used to worse. I mean, they are just skeletons, they don't even have the brain to feel offended~!" Eyes stared straight towards the male's own, devilish grin upon her lips, only growing more and more in size.

What happened else-where out of her view now was rather.. Interesting. The TCCU would be able to throw the powerful lightning spear with all of their might and determination, but something rather fun would happen when it finally tore through the first barrier. Most of the acidic substance was absorbed and turned into pure chemical energy for it to be further powered, but with something t hat would be fairly frightening. Whenever a single wall was torn through, the entire barrier shattered, acidic substance flying in every direction, making it next to impossible to absorb every last bit as the excess rained down on any unlucky being that was too close. Be it Shadowfall or Vanguard, this substance did not discriminate.

Each wall was torn down as Murai could -feel- it. She didn't see it, but it didn't take a genius to tell that the walls infused with her own energy was being broken, and some of the acid formed inside was being taken away forcibly. Soon, the fighter in front of her was wielding incredibly powerful energy, ready to infuse it into his own attack. She'd be an absolute fool if she didn't react to this, this was something that she was able to tell was happening. While the bolt traveled through barrier after barrier and she stood her ground, her weapon was formed within her hands. A large femur that definitely did not belong to a human being, much thicker than anything that would normally be seen or even... Well, created within a being. Her Zanpakutō was formed and quickly brought up over her head in just the nick of time. If she wasn't able to tell something was tearing through her barriers and heading in her direction, she wouldn't even have time to summon it.

The powerful blow slammed downwards against her one defensive for this attack, heel slamming down and cracking the surface of her weapon. Energy forced to blast the bone with as much destructive force as it could as Murai needed both hands for this. One at each end of the femur to hold it up, arms shaking from the power of the blow, but it's purpose was finally done. The femur snapped in half as all of the momentum on the TCCU's foot from earlier was gone, the being left with his foot awkwardly in the air. "Won't this rattle your bones..." The atmosphere seemed to tense as Murai's entire body began to shift and morph in place, skin bubbling for a few moments as bulges underneath her flesh became all the more apparent. The sound of bones cracking echoed all throughout the immediate battlefield, echoing outwards as energy began to burst forth from Murai.

Murai's flesh burst forth, pain filling her body as she let out a blood-curdling scream of suffering and terror. Bones upon bones upon -bones- erupted forth in a matter of a second, quickly surrounding her body and piling upon itself again and again, no longer was her dress an issue anymore as... Well, the sight was rather grotesque. Flesh forced to rupture, visibly tearing as shards upon shards seemed to interlace similar to armor, wrapping around her body -tightly- similar to plate mail, legs covered entirely, massive boots made of bone covering her feet, torso and arms covered as was her head. She seemed to resemble a knight, only her armor was much thicker than it needed to be. About an -inch- thick with bones upon bones, not even letting air through as her 'helmet' had the pointed horn-esque appearance of armor she's seen in some form of media. For lack of better terms, her armor resembled this. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/f7/38/c4/f738c41f31db00fd1444b78c6a6efef4.jpg

She was left standing strong, staring straight ahead as something was happening in the background during all of this. A few poor demons destroyed by lightning from earlier were being pumped full of energy themselves, their skeletons within their flesh starting to writhe and squirm about, forcing their flesh to bulge grotesquely as they wanted to free themselves. They wanted to fight. They wanted to serve the one who brought them a make-shift form of 'sentience'. Flesh was torn through within two bodies, a spurt of dark blood of the creatures splattering all about as these skeletons erupted, dark red in coloration as the only difference to them seemed to be just that... Their color... And the amount of energy that leaked off of them. Two were there in total, and both looked as pissed as a skeleton could be, staring towards the fighter who had just challenged Murai. The one who retreated was left alone for now, being seen as someone who wouldn't be a problem in the near distance future.

"Would you care to dance with me for a bit longer? I'd -love- to see how you can twist and bend, how far your leg can go, how much your bones can -crack- and dislocate. You seemed pretty flexible to do a nice kick like that... Let's see just how flexible you are~!"

NOTICES

Alright, I'm going through Iceland threads and leaving notices in threads that haven't had any sort of post in awhile. Due to the fact it's been since the 2th since a post was made in this thread I'm giving JWC one week warning in order to get things up. I understand you have things going on with finals, but we realllllllllllllly need to get this thread moving to keep the engine of the event strong.

Well that. Was fucking. Disheartening. Thought the TCCU clone as the woman screamed and contorted, her body breaking and tearing at it's own flesh. He leaped back as he saw this change in events unfolding. Last thing he needed was to be speared by this thing for being too close as it did... whatever unspeakable thing that it was currently doing. She's tough, sis... and I think she just got tougher... The TCCU clone reported to Lydia.

All around alerts and warnings flashed from monitor to monitor. That bone wielding freak just popped into Resurrección. They were at a disadvantage. Two more skeleton minions approached as she was looking at the camera trained on the now spiny warrior in armor over there. This would not be easy... This would not be as easy as she'd hoped at all. Her only hope would have been to bring the other TCCU in to overtake her, but if she's only against one opponent, and her other TCCU was taking a moment to rest, it would be very difficult to actually fight her... And if she can simply summon those bastards at will from dead corpses, her only hope would be to cut off her supply, which would turn this into a one-sided battle of attrition-- and her side would be losing.

Dammit all! The missions can never just be easy, can they? Lydia was beginning to see what Nix saw. No mission is ever just a cake walk. She could go in there herself, and try to assist, but strategizing was her strength, not actual combat-- although she was quite skilled at evening the playing fields... She would have to do it with her arms, and not her arms... Pun completely intended. But there was no time for jokes.

Come on... come on.. think, Didi, think!

The barrier was down, which if she had ordered a charge, the vanguard forces might be able to... get completely mauled by that Arrancar in Resurrección... Hm... But waiting any longer might give her a chance to rebuild those barriers, and that would mean a bad time for Lydia. The opponent was apparently all kinds of durable, but seemed to be lacking in the speed area. Her boys excelled in speed, but a one versus 3 did not seem to be optimal. Not with an enemy in release. He'd need to pick the two off... Right. Here goes.

"Try and get away from them. I want you to bait her attacks for as long as you can. do not get hit. I really don't wanna even think of what she could do to you if she breaks a bone of yours. She just ripped the bones out of some demons on her side she might be able to do the same to you. So don't get hit."

Then, swiveling her chair around to see what the Vanguard was up to, her front lines had managed to hold the barrier she instructed them to, minimizing losses from the acid that was still misting down from the sky. "To all Vanguard forces, rout the enemy and charge! I need two units to remain with the TCCU until he regains his energy. The rest of you, move onward while the enemy is caught in their own failure!" If she can move her forces up now, using the acid shower as a (painful) distraction, while her barrier makers keep everyone shielded, she can get them to move up a bit further while the enemy is licking their wounds. A cutthroat tactic, but one she'd need to employ if she intended to win this thing.

"TCCU 1, draw her attention from the battle below. You're the only chance we have." Upon hearing this, TCCU 1 would nod, and fire a bolt of lightning at the nearest skeleton, then one at Murai. It wouldn't be strong enough to break through her armor, most definitely, but it would be enough to incite a chase, with any luck. The skeleton, however, depending on the strength of it's construction, may or may not fall to such a blow. The TCCU was now running full speed, flipping and cartwheeling around in a defensive manner. If she had any means of catching him, he would be very keen to dodging them, even as he fired more bolts of energy at her.

Lydia breathed deeply from within her stationary submersible. All she had to do was stall for enough time that TCCU 2 regained his strength, then both of them would perform a coup de grace on this Murai. Short and sweet. But in case of failure, TCCU 1 would simply have to take her full on, and she could simply enter the battlefield herself to provide support. Despite the fact that she herself wasn't very physically strong, her Attack Helicopter GHOST-CV was. She was almost certain a missile or two would easily take this girl out, if it came to that. But it might also take out her men as well... So she held the idea in reserve for a moment. Right. Take them both down separately. Take advantage of the opening TCCU 2 created to push the Vanguard closer toward the city. Then, rout both the enemy's commander, as well as the remainder of their troops. Then, it was as simple as taking the city for her allies. But she would need every piece to fall into place in order to turn this bad situation around.

The arrancar was having so much fun right now. First a fight finally arrived for her, and now she got to really try out some of her more latent powers that she rarely delved into. She's never actually had a reason to use this release before, but now seemed to be an absolutely great time. She could just feel the power surging within her, new abilities, new skills, a new point of ascension in her path to obtaining all that she would ever hope and dream for. Enough about her though, this wasn't a war for her, this was a war for the allies of the group she works for. Hell, to be fair, she didn't even have to be here... But she was rather bored, her new friend needed time to move in, and this would definitely land her a nice check in the mail.

She could faintly tell what was happening far off in the distance. The Vanguard were fighting not only valiantly, but successfully. This was troublesome... She didn't feel like having to deal with a whole army, hell, these guys in front of her were annoying enough as it is. Murai's eyes began to narrow towards the male in front of her, the two skeletons she had raised were already rushing straight towards him. "I think I'll call these two Knuckle and Duster. Combine them together and they'll hurt like a Knuckle Duster~!" Murai thought that was pretty clever, and she knew keeping a cheery attitude filled with jokes during a fight usually put people on edge and led them to be a bit more weary.

What she didn't know was the fact that there was a puppet master behind the scenes. Orchestrating the actions of all those in the area to ensure victory. She was the one behind the clones, behind the actions they took, behind the tactical advances of the Vanguard when needed. In due time, Murai would meet this individual, but for now, she had someone else to focus upon. Her attention became focused on just this one being. He had enough strength to -move- her, and she needed to actually try to remain standing against his attack. That was a feat good enough to show that he was a fighter, someone she should actually treat with some mediocracy of a serious tone.

Her armor around her seemed fairly tough and resilient, and it's strength was only proven when the bolt of electricity slammed against it, only nudging Murai, the being underneath as cracks formed along the armor. These cracks ended up slowly and slowly being healing, through at a rate that was pretty funny. One interesting thing about it was that a puff of purple smoke shot out when damaged, slowly dissipating in the air as Murai didn't seem effected by it. The skeleton rushing forwards was... Actually much stronger than the previous ones, bolt of electricity slamming against it as it's bones rattled, a few ribs and other lesser needed bones being sent flying away... But the being itself was still rushing forwards, slowed a bit as it's single companion rushed right besides it.

Murai could see the clones games. It wanted her to chase. Fair enough... Buuut, Murai was never one for physical activity. She was provoked, but not in the way that he might have wanted. The armor around Murai's body began to shift ever so slightly before a single femur the size of a being twice the size of a human shot out into her hands, letting her grasp it like a weapon as it slammed against the ground. "Hope your ready to get boned you useless whelp~!" Wow, quite harsh for a teasing voice... But it's meaning would soon be found out as the ground shook underneath the TCUU. The earth rumbled as bones began to shoot forth from the ground, spanning up to 10 feet tall all around in an arena formation, the area all around generally about the size of a large auditorium.

Her two skeletons were able to leap right over the barrier with no trouble at all, rushing towards the TCUU... But for him however, he would get a much different result. If the being continued their path away from Murai and towards the bones she erected, he would be met with a potentially fatal end. Getting near them led to the bones rattling as more erupted from the ground right underneath, shooting out at a rather blinding speed similar to a bala and heading straight towards the TCUU's heart. The thickness of this piece of hard calcium was the size of an arm, with the entire front shattered just enoguh to leave a large, giant spike that looked sharp enough to pierce through flesh easily. With the speed it was going at, that wouldn't be too hard.

Many bones did this if he kept going closer to the edge, what was one would turn into two, then four, then eight, then all the way up into the hundreds if he kept trying to escape, all angled enough that he would have to dodge -away- from the boundaries. This was great for Murai... And within her little area, she could do so much more. Barely any reiatsu was felt as eight more skeletons with white bones appeared, all rushing towards the single TCUU with the two red ones leading the charge. Right now? It was no strain to her at all, and she could have as much fun as she wante din this little Bone Zone. Each skeleton attempted to utterly trap the man attempting to lead her on a chase.

All eight of the regular skeletons would attempt to lunge out at him and hold on tightly, going for his legs, his arms, his torso, whatever they can hold to keep him down. Right after, the two leaders with a red coloration ended up leaping towards his upper body, bones trying to slam against him with arms wrapping around his upper torso and shoulders to keep hims till and immobilize him. Wether or not any of this succeeded, Murai followed up on her next plan, the bit that -would- actually strain her a bit. Anyone in the area could feel her power growing, her strength with her abilities growing up to double it's original strength. So much power in this area... It was a bit scary for someone who wasn't even that powerful in the Monsuta.

Bones upon bones upon bones were being formed in the air, what started as five turned into ten which turned into twenty and ended up as fifty. All of them were the size of human femurs, points sharpened and all filled to the brim with gasses. All of these bones hovered over Murai, resembling a being from a bullet hell game... Something she was glad to be thought of. With a wave of her hand, all of these were sent forwards, zooming through the air at incredible speeds as a few balas were thrown in by Murai. Her goal was to blanket the area and utterly impale him, regardless of if the Bone Zone's edges got him, regardless of if the skeletons held him down, she wanted to blanket him. These sharpened bones spanned an area of about 20 feet, all moving quick enough to tear through flesh with no issue, balas capable of reaching almost cero strength at this point.

With her strength doubled, and cost of creating all of this halved, she was in the zone. In her prime element... In a place where Lydia would want to keep her out. "Dance~! Dance for me you stupid ape! Spin and twirl around, twist and contort your body! Do everything you can to survive~! I want to hear you -scream-!"

[adm]I'm going to go ahead and leave this as a notice that JWC has 3-5 days in order to post. I will be contacting you, but I'm leaving this as a formality. Since we are trying to move things along with the event, we need to pick up the pace a bit in this thread. So, having said that, if there isn't a post then we will assume that Murai's forces were able to overwhelm Lydia and forced her to fall back. From there, Murai will have three days to lay in wait until, if no one joins, the city falls into her hands.[/adm]
