Angel

Song: N/a STUFF - Artist: N/A STUFF - Words: N/A

He was right, and his words made sense. The intelligence he had wasn’t something she could quantify with a test or even measure in a made up algorithm. In fact, she had to assume if she gave him a test meant to show mere competency he probably would fail it. However, as it was obvious by the way he spoke when he did, Radioactive was far smarter than he gave himself credit for. Granted his wasn’t a sort of academic intellect learned from years studying, or even a more digital kind thanks to the countless downloads and storage Angel enjoyed. It wasn’t something she could look up, download, or even add to her programming. She could code in emotion, and she could certainly program goals and desires. But the ability to act on impulses, and act on desires in a uniquely personal way was something only the self could do. And even then, memories, ideals, and an individual sort of personal etiquette was impossible to replicate artificially. One needed to live and feel, and let emotions and ideals guide them. The weirdest yet most satisfying thing out of such a notion was that she felt like she could do that too.

”You’re right.” said the girl in a clearly more relaxed tone of voice, a smile adorning her expression just below the blindfold. ”Nothing matters that much but what we really need. I’ll fight for my cause, but you need to fight for yours too.”

It was going to be extremely difficult for her. Yea, the more time passed, the more Human she felt with every experience. In turn, that made her very existence feel a bit more difficult and a ache even more so. Perhaps because she had conditioned herself and forced down her throat the idea that she was artificial and in some way less valuable than Humans. It was far easier than to accept the obvious. It was far easier than wondering and believing she meant something, and that there was knowledge, security, and happiness to be found by being content with who she was. With time, the droid was starting to accept her concept of reality as something to be treasured, and she could finally understand the willingness or stubbornness of Humans to hold onto their lives. There was still far too much for her to do to get at the root of her origins and define her place in the world, but at least now she was willing to do so. Likewise, it seemed as though Radioactive would have a pretty difficult task himself. Actually pulling it off perhaps wouldn’t be as difficult as accepting the deserved it himself or was ready for it. But his own self was an adversary he’d have to face sooner or later, and survive if he wanted to earn the right to live as he should.

”I’m in complete agreeance,” said the Doll before resting against a wall. ”We can certainly supply them with technology to further shake its balance in our favor. And while I don’t think it's wise to jeopardize the lives of our men just yet, it might be in our benefit to send a small team along. What are your thoughts?

At last the Demon world was experiencing some internal turmoil. It didn’t signify the beginning of the end for them, but it certainly could. The Demons had the power and the means to hammer down their internal opposition and get back on its feet in a hurry. However, it was up to the Vanguard and the other organizations to prevent that from happening. If they could help kick the chair from beneath the Demons, perhaps they could get to watch them choke. It was their chance. Nonetheless, Angel was of the mentality that despite the loyalty of their people, their lives shouldn’t be wasted in vain. There was no reason for a large scale attack just yet. However, certain people of power and skill could be instructed to travel into the territory, deliver the technology, and plant themselves as moles. From within they could help foster the resistance and help their forces finally start taking out chunks from the power that once held itself as supreme over the rest. Every empire fell sooner or later, and the Demons were next on the chopping block.
