In 1870, Amshel purchases a twelve-year old boy named Hagi from his parents to become Dair's companion and friend. During a birthday party for Joel, Dair releases Diva so that she can sing for Joel. Diva, however, slaughters everyone in the Goldschmidt house while Dair and Hagi are out looking for Joel's favorite flower. Recognizing that Diva is a monster, Dair spends her periods of activity hunting Diva to try to kill her, her chevaliers, and any cailga's they have created.

Dair wields a special Katana with an edge she can touch with her thumb while gripping it so as to draw blood, and grooves specially designed to spread her blood through its entire blade. After Dair's first blade is broken, David, her captain, gives her a new one that has a red crystal at the base of its blade, symbolizing her BBS Membership in the Red Shield organization. The crystal is a piece of her adoptive father's body, which crystallized when she killed him with her own blood in order to spare him the fate of turning into a cailga.

In 2005, Dair is a high school girl living in Okinawa who was adopted a year ago by George Miyagusuku after waking from her hibernation cycle with no memory of her identity or past. Though she appears to be a normal teenager, any injuries she sustains heal almost instantly and she must receive regular blood transfusions to remain healthy. When a cailga attacks her school, she finds her life turned upside down. She is reunited with her chevalier Hagi, though she doesn't remember him, and learns that her blood can kill the cailga's. She is approached by David, from the Bleach Blazing Souls Socitey Red Shield, who tells her it is her duty to kill cailga's because she is the only one who can. Neither David nor Hagi will tell her the truth about her past, she must remember on her own. Though at first Dair is reluctant to fight and afraid of who she might be, she slowly comes to accept her duty and regains her memories.

After her adoptive brother Riku's Death in the Soul Society, Dair disappears for a year, along with Hagi. When she returns, she has longer hair and a harder, darker appearance. Now accepting of her cailga biology, she accepts the necessity of feeding on Hagi's blood to live and be strong enough to fight. However, she has a less cheerful personality, is more morose and less talkative than she used to be. Moses and Lulu [Wandering Soul Reapers] both remark that she has lost hope. Dair, believing the fight with Diva is hers alone, and not wanting to have to grieve for any more lost comrades, she avoids cooperating with Kai or the BBS Red Shield. Dair's friends repeatedly work to help her understand that this fight is not for her to bear by herself, and that she is never alone. As the battle with Diva continues, Dair's next hibernation period draws nearer, she starts having sudden bouts of fainting spells, and her regeneration ability slows.

At the Metropolitan Opera House, Dair confronts Diva in a final duel, which ends as they simultaneously pierce each other with their blood-coated specially designed Katana's. Dair is unaffected by Diva's blood, because it lost its potency when she became pregnant. Diva, however, begins to crystallize, and Dair cries for her and tries to hold her shattering pieces together. With Diva dead, Dair turns to kill the babies and herself fearing that if they lived, they would be forced to become squad weapons in the Soul Society. Kai, her oldest adoptive brother, pleads with her to live, promising to protect her and the babies and make anyone afraid of her understand. Hagi disobeys Dair for the only time in his life, taking her sword and confessing he has loved her from the moment they met. Dair tearfully admits she wishes to live as she kisses Hagi. She and Kai escape the opera house with the babies as Hagi battles a returned Amshel and the BBS squad forces begins bombing the building.

A month later, back in BBS Soul Society, Dair finally goes into her next thirty-year hibernation period. At her request, Kai puts her back in the Miyagusuku family crypt to sleep, and he watches over her with Diva's children. Several years later, a fresh pink rose with Hagi's blue ribbon is left at the crypt.

Roleplay Sample: -She looks at the ground heaving heavily; her Katana in hand as she'd dig her blade into the ground; carving doodles ever so carefully. She'd sigh in bordem almost as if she were playing off how tired she was; knowing she was almost at her limit; Raising her head slowly looking at her opponet who stood before her. Analzing her opponet from head to toe. Accessing her for any weak point perhaps. Then re-playing in her mind every blow that was taken; trying to catch anything that her opponet had re-acted to. A grin thus began to slowly spread across her face as she began to laugh. Her opponet eye'ing her almost insisting on why she was laughing. Her laughter then cuts itself short as she speaks... "Tell me Fayne, shall we go on or shall I rip ze Jugular from your o' so fair skinned throat." -she'd giggle- "Either way... one person is going to die right here while the other one walks away. So, no need to underestimate you dear, but I don't plan on it being me." -Her body then glitching as she'd appear behind Fayne; holding her tightly agaisnt her as she's stroke Fayne's Throat; whispering in her ear.- "I'd love to play with you just a little longer, the sound of our blades ringing in my ears, but the race is over... and you... LOSE!!!" -Her hand then swiftly pulling Faynes forhead back as she'd rip her teeth into Fayne's neck, well below the skin; ripping out her Jugular and spitting it onto the ground; then turning to lick the spewing blood from Fayne's neck. And then brutally tossing her body to the ground.- "What a waste of my time, is their ever anyone worthy of it...." -She'd then hear a noise behind her..-

She's learned to live with an attitude of grattitude. And sometimes she has actually nothing on her mind, so it's better to enjoy it while it last. Dair believes that sometimes we need to stop analzying the past, stop planning the future, stop trying to figure out how we feel and sometimes... we just gotta live. When you get to know Dair you'll learn her definition of "I told you so." equals = you should have listened to me because I'm always right, and that it can also be followed by the "I told you so dance."
Dair has also learned that when it comes to love it's best to learn that the best descisions aren't always made with the brain, but sometimes they're made with the heart. And we shouldn't fear love, Fear is all about attachment. We fear losing what we are attached to, because all things are temporary. Only Unconditional love can overcome Fear. And her latest Break Through is that Ex-Boyfriends are like an incurable venereal disease, your only hope is complete remission.
