Game of Control
Advent of the Bartender
"The Empress's Retreat"
It was four years since I left the city I thought as home before I lived in Osaka, Japan for the total of fourteen years now. So much has happened between these two cities. First was my first ten years in Osaka. Then four years spent in another city. After that, I'm back home for the other four years. Here I stand on the deck of a luxury airship to the city I used to live in as a student of their high school. I remembered the days there and it was the place that changed my life in no more than a year. The friends I have? They probably have moved on and that boy. I can remember the times he and I ate lunch together and converse like childhood friends. Of course he is older because I was up to high school first year standards at a much younger age of twelve when most of my classmates are already fifteen or fourteen. I always felt so small because I was known to be the shortest person in my class. But with my newborn confidence from my dedication to martial arts and education, it is by graduation that I stood as big as I can get with my petite body at the age of fourteen. It is hard to believe that one girl was changed in a year for the best just by a tragedy. However, the tragedy is something I did not tell anyone about as only me and my father knew what happened. It is a secret I bear alone, just like how I was someone quite important in Japan while I was seeking a life where I can be more myself than just a figure head or a leader. I recalled during the night, while I was sleeping at my bedroom alone. A spectral figure appear in my dream. His eyes shown red, ominous glow and a feeling that my misery is crushing my faith in humanity while a fountain of wisdom that makes anyone curious. I do not know why I was afraid of him, but what bothers me is the headache in his presence. I snapped myself out the dream and woke up in cold sweat. Because of the dream, I feel haunted by the past and paranoid. The morning after, I continued my daily life. For another night, the dream repeated and I became afraid. I woke up in the middle of the night again and thought I have to find powerful friends. The first thing that came into my mind is a clan that has global influence. So I left a note in the middle of the night and packed my burlap bag. From there, I left for the airfield where I made a quick booking for an airship travel to the city I used to live in. I write in this diary to record how I dealt with my nightmares and the journey to find the ones who can help me with expelling the nightmarish man. ~~ Hanako's Diary: Page 1
Hanako closes her diary before stashing it onto the right pocket of her black leather duster belt that layers over her black shorts as the duster's cape drapes down to the back of her her shins. Her white ankle socks are hiding in her black and white sneakers as they rest on the fine wooden flooring of the airship's open-air deck. Her white tank top was barely hiding behind the black leather zipper vest, but they both are complimenting her shape. Despite her petite size, she was well-developed in maturity as she lays her toned arms against the railing of the airship. The wind that passes by tugs upon her long, dark hair as her dark brown and reddish eyes gaze upon the landscape. Her skin was not pale, but not tanned as well, meaning that she has split her time between being inside and outside quite well. The smell of raindrops blends to the damp, wooden scent quite fondly while the chilling temperature often forces Hanako to keep her black leather vest zipped up. With the heart weighing down and breathing becoming heavy, Hanako is obviously not able to sleep as she started her journey so early in the morning and left as the sun rises at Osaka Airfield. Behind her are the groups who came early for this luxury cruise. While there are hover buses and ships that can take them there quickly, the airship was merely an antique that was treasured as a luxury cruiser for those who would like to see the sights. The additional benefit of it would be the fresh air coupled with no needs for fuel other than resupplying fuel of water and wood to keep the fire going to make steam.

A woman approaches Hanako from behind and stops to look at the pink ribbon tied around Hanako's left bicep. Due to instinct, Hanako can tell that someone's watching her from behind as the one who watches her was close. Without looking, Hanako quietly speaks, "Curious about something?" The woman lets out a small gasp because she does not expect someone to actually detect her without augmentations. Hanako was probably one of the minority who is still a hundred percent natural as she prefers it that way. She bears no grudge to the augmented humans, but personally, Hanako feels that if she was augmented, she would feel more synthetic as if she is lying to herself or feeling insecure about her intellect, her wisdom, her strength, her charms, her everything. "I-I have done disrespect, ma'am!" the woman bows and apologizes to Hanako, but Hanako lifts her left hand steadily parallel to the floor of the deck. "Don't worry." Hanako replies to the apology, knowing it is natural that people cannot help, but to get curious about a woman who stands on her own. "I have no excuse for asking, but I wondered why you came alone? It's not normal for a woman like you to be alone." the woman inquires. Hanako chuckles to herself as she was relieved about something. "I mean no disrespect, but I can stand on my own as a fighter." Hanako answers to the woman. "Danger! Don't lean too far over the railing." the woman warns. To foreigners, it would drive them nuts that random passerby would say this over a thousand times, but in Japan, this is common courtesy. "Thank you, ma'am." Hanako responds respectfully. Right now, it is becoming an hour as Hanako looks ahead to see a familiar dome covering the ever aspiring towers. This is the city that Hanako is going, the city of champions, the bastion of hope, Karakura Central. There before her was only far away, but it is by time that it will reach port. The only good sign is that it will not be long until she could find someone she can turn to for help. Her main worry was someone back home will find out and try to take measures to bring her back to Osaka.

---------------------------------------------------
Quick Summary
As a history rewrite, this is two or three days before the actual debut of Hanako Shikijou, where Hanako meets Koichi in Role-Playing Time (RPT.) Hanako left Osaka for Karakura Central to find powerful friends to help her defeat what was haunting her. As for the others, it could be a different story with different motives and goals while in different locations. The story of other characters can define what happened before the whole thing happened.

If so...

I hope so ... Emiya-kun.

Game of Control Season 1: Episode 01 Tifa.Lockhart.240.622100
It is tough being a national icon for the media and social folks alike since anyone can pick out Hanako from the crowd. The reason that the woman did not recognize Hanako was because of her attire and she did not turn to look at the woman. If that woman sees her face, she will recognize Hanako in an instant. Of course the crew of the airship knows her right off the bat, but they chose to obey Hanako's request of not receiving special treatment and to keep her identity publicly anonymous. The captain mentioned that once they reached Karakura, she is on her own because if the Yuudeshi Clan are not aware or not going to help. It is true that the Yuudeshi Clan can choose to not help Hanako if it would cause trouble for Karakura Central and even TARN cannot enter Karakura Central without stirring political or public unrest between Karakura and Osaka. So in this case, Hanako will have to go alone and find her way to the Yayjuu Base while hoping that Shadin will be there to help her with her problem or at least point her in the right direction.

The airship closes in to the city of Karakura Central, but the direction is to Sukai Karakura, a city ten-thousand feet into the sky. Before Hanako can go down to the city below it, she will have to get settled in and familiar with what is going on. She knows she already reserved a luxury penthouse at Megumi Square. As the airship starts rising, Hanako steps away from the railing and sits onto a chair that faces forward. It takes a while for the airship to reach the dome of Sukai Karakura and they are closing on the port. Normally the wind would blow anyone off their feet, but the airship was protected by a wind barrier that keeps the passengers and crew from being blown off the exposed deck by reducing the wind into a gentle breeze along with managing air pressure within it. "This is Captain Hamada requesting docking at Sukai Airport. Over." The captain speaks into the mobile phone provided by the Yuudeshi Network, "This is Captain Hamada of the JAS-Sukai Tsubasa, requesting docking clearance. Over." As the airship approaches the dome, the mobile phone replies with "Clearance granted. Dock C." And just like that, the airship touches the dome and phases through it as the airship's barrier communicates with the dome to assure all passengers and crewmen are friendlies. As the dome passes by Hanako, she can feel a vibration throughout her body and a warmth as the summer heat on the inside was pleasant. It was soon after that the airship docks itself and extends its gangplank. Hanako steps off as she can see the cameras are around. Without a doubt, Shadin and the security forces there will recognize her on the spot and could be organizing someone to greet her and be her escort during her stay. If otherwise, they could be contacting TARN about their negligence to keep a V.I.P. under surveillance or at least have someone to watch her back. Basic protocol for important people who are likely targets for kidnappings and ransoming. With all that, Hanako walks off to the elevator down to the plaza called, Megumi Square.

Hanako produces a mobile phone from her pocket and look into the contact list. Luckily, she still kept a friend's number so she can contact him for a situation like this. That friend she knows never let her down before and even was one of the few people who gave her a reason to be the person she is now. His name is Emiya Shirou, her former classmate and best friend. It's been four years since I last saw you, Emiya-kun. I wonder if you still kept that promise. Hanako thought to herself as she uses the speed dial to Shirou's phone. She hopes he will pick up. If it is by him or she has to leave a message, she wants to make it clear to Shirou of her message to him. "Hello, Emiya-kun. It's Shikijou-san. Sorry if I wake you or disturb your study, but I just arrived in Megumi Square, Sukai Karakura. I'll be heading to the top floor of the Megumi Penthouse Suites. If you want to come help me with getting settled it, I would appreciate it. See you there." Hanako speaks into the phone before stashing it back into her apron pocket while moving into the elevator. While going down, Hanako can see the morning sun shining into the majestic plaza as the air conditioning was slightly chilly in the elevator, but at least they use fresh air instead of synthetic air. When it touches down onto the floor, Hanako leaves through the lobby and steps onto the sidewalk paralleled along the streets of the clean city. Personally, Hanako actually came to Sukai Karakura for the first time in her life since back in her childhood when she was a refugee, she and her father can only get a standard housing nearby the schools for protection. Now, she begins making her way to the Megumi Penthouse Suite.

Game of Control Season 1: Episode 01 Kaito8

[Deadly Sin Fragments: 1x Fragment of Greed]

"I told you that it'd be fine, you're worrying too much... No no, my escort has arrived on time, you don't need to fire them. Yes, I'll be careful on my way back to the studio, but I really have to hang up now."
With a final sigh, a blue haired, tall man turned off his phone with a swift movement of his fingers, before stashing it away into his trousers. Said fingers had the typical appearance of the ones expected from pianists - long, quick, and smooth. And in addition to that, the nails were also colored deep blue, just like the scarf that this young man was wearing, no matter the weather. As blue eyes looked forward now, his personalized air transporter docked - as a man of wealth, but not greed, he was perfectly willing to spend the slightly horrendous amounts of Yen required to own a parking spot in this aerodome.

Now that he had finally docked and also calmed the chief of his security team, the blue haired man known as Kaito stood up from his comfortable seat and stretched, before walking towards the airlock and opening it with a few button-presses and a swift slice of his keycard. Double security, anything less and said chief of security would've died in shock. As the walkway extended and lead the singer down onto the ground, he half expected for his shedule to have been leaked again - but for once, he was not suddenly overwhelmed by a titantic group of fans. Still, all it took was one instant-upload camera around here to snap a picture of him and this place would be swarming with people, so he'd better hurry to get out of the place... That was what his star-self was thinking. However, his other side - the Falling Star - carefully looked through the entire building... And no single camera was actually spared to take a look at the singer or his personalized aircraft. That was rather odd, and could only mean someone more interesting or more important was here, which took the attention of the automated systems away from him. More interesting was a rather low chance... So it was obviously someone important.
"I guess my work for today just got started." With a slight sigh, he pulled out his phone again, and a short call later his car infront of the building as well as his bodyguards left the area. He didn't NEED them to begin with, apart for keeping up appearances. Showing his remarkable skill of combat when he was known as an easy-going singer and free-spirited creator of idols? Not a good idea.

So now without being watched for once, but watching himself, it was rather easy to slip out of the building and simply follow the path of the cameras with his eyes. A small ray of light when nobody was looking, and it reflected onto the back of the person for the fraction of a second, and it confirmed his suspicion about who was the hidden VIP amongst the crowd. Black long hair was the first thing Kaito saw from behind - obviously he didn't want to get noticed as a sudden follower, so he tried his best to blend in with the normal people, even quickly stuffing his trademark scarf into one of the pockets of his jacket. A problem arose when she didn't follow the main road, though - as to not be spotted immedeatly, Kaito didn't even look at her while moving through the alley, or at least not visibly. In his mind, he already pieced together most of who she was... Thanks to his time as a prosecutor. The Empress... What in all of god's many names was she doing here? Well, it certainly wouldn't hurt to keep following her just to make sure nothing bad happened. As the hero Falling Star, that was his duty!

Game of Control Season 1: Episode 01 Image4729
I was told that I am still protected in Osaka.
They say that they will not let it happen again.
Yet I still flee from what I cannot see at all.
As Hanako walks along the sidewalk and to blend in with the crowd, she is feel her worries corrupting her resolve. She was still nervous about the security of her secret in this city. Scattered in the crowd, there are blank spots where no one seem to fill in. That is the clue to Hanako that it is a spirit that walks among them. As someone who cannot see them, detecting them will be a problem and in worst case scenario, being captured by a spirit would be a very big setback for anyone. She keeps her head down as her dark long hair hangs over her face as a veil. Usually, Hanako keeps her chin up with a studious prowess of influential social skills. Still, she has to mask her big presence to even walk the street without setting off alarms for Shadin to hear. For a moment, Hanako looks up at the buildings, trying to figure out which one is the Megumi Penthouse. She looks back down and turns a corner to the right and follow the sidewalk while glancing at signs to find clues as to where the penthouse be. Much to the idea that things can get worse, Hanako faces a drunk coming her way with clothes that are ragged like a gang member; the plaid blue ascot around his neck was clearly an indication of one of the Airborne Boys. The Airborne Boys are a small time gang originated in Okinawa, but migrated when they thought a bigger score will be at Karakura Central. After a moment before inevitable collision, Hanako simply slips by the drunk by simply stepping off to the left and getting out of his way. "Sheesh! Make et herder fo me to dep cha, Slummy!" The drunk calls out to Hanako in his drunken accent. Typical for someone like a gang member to be running his mouth without thinking about what he is facing. Easily, Hanako ignores the fool and continues on as the drunk goes onto his business. Hanako did not get a good look at his face, so it does not matter to her of what he is saying or feeling now.

Eventually, she reaches the point where she stands directly across the road from the Megumi Penthouse. Looking at it, it was rather luxurious and rather fitting for someone of Hanako's social standing. Why she would pick this when it would stick out like a sore thumb? Reversed psychology says that rich people will choose rich stuff and when security is concerned, something that sticks out like that will be the last place for a hot target to be when aware of being targeted. Plus if reversed psychology failed, the suite has only two ways to enter; the helipad that is protected by EMP Locking Control that can forcibly shut down any vehicle that landed there until it is shutdown, and the primary entrance that has a triple locking system. The three locks there can be solved with one master key or by three different techniques with all at master level. One would have to pick the titanium tumblers that can lock up for an hour if picked wrong; and then have to hack the keypad without having their equipment fried by the custom firewall; and then they have to cut through the two hinges and five deadbolts along the edges of the door and if alerted by the other two locks, it will lock up and stay locked until a security master like Shadin Yuudeshi comes and reset the locks. Sure there are fancy ways to break in, but at least the obvious ones are covered while under surveillance by the Yuudeshi Network. Did we forget to mention that as a feature? Hanako turns to the right from facing the building and locates the crossing bridge not far from here. She then walks to the bridge. As she reaches the steps up to the bridge, she notices one young man running to the bridge and stops at the middle of the bridge. "Citizens of Karakura! For too long that we are enslaved by media as a war is outside!" The young man shouts out to the crowd. Judging by the paleness of his face, he is desperate. Hanako stops at the steps to watch and gather intelligence on what is going on. "We are oppressed by the Yuudeshi Clan! Oppressed by spirit-loving criminals! Hear me out for the truth to be told!" The young man continues as he was definitely an anti-spirit folk, but something was off about him. "We! The Force Feedback will save all of you as the Emperor of Japan promised love for his children!" The young man speaks out more as the crowd looks upon him. Emperor? I do recall that I am the Empress of Japan, but an Emperor of Japan? Seems Karakura Central still has their trouble spots. I guess I'll have to learn about the Emperor. Hanako thought to herself as she continues to witness the preaching.

"The Emperor is dead, idiot! He is dead along with Imperial Japan of 1945!" A woman shouts on the bridge. "He is reborn and told me to cleanse the world of spirits in the name of God!" The young man shouts as he holds up a small stick with a wire hanging from the bottom. Shit! A martyr! Hanako drastically recognized shortly before the young man and the bridge (along with other people on it) are blown up by a bomb. Hanako shields herself from the fragments and closes her eyes to keep the dust out of her eyes while looking away to keep the fragments and dust from polluting her breaths. Her heart was beating hard as adrenaline kicks in. Her ears ring for a while as she was leaning against the railing, disoriented from the incident. As Hanako looks around confusingly, she can see her vision lagging and blurring with layers of still images while her head was lighter than normal. It is hard to tell if she was hit or not, but her legs are shaken up from the shock. As the ringing in the ears alleviates, she can hear screaming from the crowd as the crowd was scattering away from the demolished bridge. Catching her breath deeply and intensely like she was a few minutes without air, Hanako sits down onto the stair steps to keep herself from falling over down the stairs and risk injuring herself. Normally, a person would be scared beyond measure if facing death like that and come out unscathed, but Hanako was only shaken up and disoriented as she focuses on recomposing herself so she can get into her penthouse suite and be safe there.

(UPDATE) Players can now choose where ever they choose for their starter location and do not have to worry about not getting enough attention as other players can choose to be with that specific player over Hanako and Kaito.

(Post 3: Kaito) Kaito arrives on his private air transporter at the airport. Seeing that surveillance is occupied by one important person, Kaito investigates. Kaito discovers that person to be Hanako and follows her. He is currently trying to avoid being detected by Hanako.

(Post 4: Hanako) Hanako was on her way to the penthouse. She ran into a drunk belonging to a gang called, the "Airborne Boys." She then runs into a martyr from Force Feedback who was preaching about the "Emperor of Japan" and "Cleansing the world of spirit," before blowing himself up, destroying the bridge and leaving Hanako in a daze while the crowd scattered from the scene.

[Kaito]

Through the crowds, the blue haired man kept following his 'target'... the target of protection. He was still quite unsure what brought her here, and without any escort, but if the wrong person noticed her presence and figured out who she was... Then she'd need the help of a hero for sure. While for her, empty spots in the crowds could be seen - he, as a powered human, had no trouble noticing the variety of spirits in Karakura. Shinigami, Sugiura, Vizards, even the occasional Arrancar with special permissions - a hotspot of spiritual activity, even years after the Winter War.
The first danger soon appeared - although in a different form, a drunk. Sadly, humanoid trash like him still existed, and while looking at him from behind Hanako, Kaito could see it clearly - over his heart, growing and twisting like a mutated growth, was a Deadly Sin Fragment, a Fragment of Envy. With a slight sigh of relief, the blue haired singer watched Hanako evade that gang member - who now noticed the follower, who had not slowed down or even attempted to dodge him.
"Huh? What do you want, bl-"
But no further words were spoken, as the drunk attempted to, while stumbling, ram the singer out of the way - because he quickly grappled the man, ripped something that nobody else could see from his chest, and spun around him almost instantly. The drunk fell onto his ass from the sudden spinning, unable to keep his balance - as other people on the street chuckled at the display, Kaito bowed slightly with his playful smile, before being on his merry way - in his hand, hidden from view, a Sin Fragment of Envy. Moving slightly faster in order to catch up with Hanako again, his eyes widened a little bit at the sight of the highly secured building. Not bad for keeping someone like her safe from attacks, that was for sure!
Kaito relaxed a bit now. The girl was almost at the target location already, and no single attack so far - his small, dignified smile, as he leaned against one of the walls on the sidewalk against a building, he was readying himself for the treck back to his own building... When his fine hearing also picked up the preacher. With a sigh, he, from more distance than Hanako, listened to the crazed words of this madman... But probably a lot more worried than her. The singer knew these types, always short of exploding...
Just usually, not that literally. As the device to prime the bomb was pulled out by him, Kaito's eyes widened once more, and time seemingly slowed down for him. He had no time to hide right now, but nobody was really paying attention to him, so he decided to risk it right away - and from his chest, a bright, blinding light erupted, as the constructed heart lit up with the fire of the Ray Force - the Deadly Sin Fragment of Envy that Kaito had just acquired sinking into the skin of his right hand, as the costume out of blinding light manifested. Nobody would've been able to actually see this transformation - the sudden, bright light from where he had been standing was way too strong for any modern technology or person to pierce it with the eyes. Even with spiritual senses, it was impossible to tell - for his energy signature as a human had vanished, making place for something that seemed both demonic and holy at the same time. This being that now dashed out towards the bridge, it was not Kaito anymore... He was...

[Falling Star]

Falling Star. A hero seemingly made out of sentient light - a being so fast, that time itself seemed to slow down in his presence. And now, he was here - right where he was needed. The trigger had already been activated - but that didn't matter. The electric signal towards the bomb was not something Falling Star could stop - but he could outspeed it easily. Lightning seemed slow when compared to his current speed - the most basic form of Ray Force, even. There was no saving for the madman who had turned himself into a bomb - but the ones who were standing right next to him could still be saved. Not by anyone normal, mind you - outrunning an explosion, for a normal human, was impossible.
But not for someone who twisted time itself into appearing slow for him. With a first grab, Falling Star already snatched two of the people closest to the preacher, and dashed back off of the bridge - dropping the two people onto the ground as softly as he could while being in a hurry, he repeated the same process, again and again. A whirlwind of white and light, almost impossible to spot, were it not for the specks of different colors he ripped from their positions and brought into new ones - all while the bomb had just started to slowly explode, and the shockwave started expanding. But by the time the explosion even started to destabilize the bridge, and would've started killing people - the last person was brought to safety, and the insanely loud BANG of the bomb was heard across this part of Karakura, but besides the offender himself - nobody else was in the blast radius anymore. In fire and dust, he perished - for nothing. But before the crumbling remains of the bridge, there he stood, even in the view of Hanako, who had thankfully been out of the blast radius anyway.

Black linings on completely white clothes, unseeable eyes that still gleamed with kindness, and a shining, literal star on his heart - the arms triumphantly planted onto his sides, the head raised high above, and with a smirk that could make anyone smile.
"Fear not, citizens of Karakura. The evil monsters of the Force Feedback will NEVER be able to hurt you - for I am here, the hero for the heavens and the earth! I am... Falling! Star!"
Striking a typical pose of his arms stretched out, the people slowly realized that their lives had just been saved by this person, and despite his almost ridicolous behavior, slowly, an applause was heard, that seemed to roar even louder than the previous explosion. In a thanking motion, the hero bowed towards the crowd - before stepping over to Hanako, who had been knocked down from the blast, offering his right hand towards her to help her onto her feet.
