Africastrophe IV: Gold is Unbreakable
After dealing with Asher, Kanae had no illusions about the survival abilities of these Hollows, creatures she likened to cockroaches in their capacity to avoid death. If there was one thing she hated more than anything, it's fools who don't know well enough to just die. So, even as she stood with her back to the gold beast, her Zanpakuto once more tucked away, Kanae was not blind to the Hollow's machinations. Though faster than expected, its attack would strike steel instead of skin as the Captain swiftly released her Shikai and raised her weapon to guard.
Dirt and dust kicked up as Kanae skidded across the barren wasteland that once housed millions of humans. She came to a halt some two dozen feet from her attacker, now face-to-face with him again. Blood trickled down from her forehead and followed the subtle curve of her cheek, dripping gently from her chin to the dry ground below. Wrath burned in her violet eyes as she stared down the freak who struck her.
These disgusting creatures and their lack of releases makes them hard to read.
They'll die all the same, Tosatsusha. We'll make sure of it.
The earth cracked as Kanae launched herself forward, fueled by fury to slaughter her enemy. She wasn't just interested in killing this thing, however; she wanted it to suffer for injuring her. A few yards away from her foe Kanae shot up from the ground and hovered a dozen feet above it, where she raised her Zanpakuto which began spinning in front of her like a pinwheel. "Hadō #58: Tenran!" At this command a tremendous vortex was summoned from her weapon which quickly expanded and sought to encompass all of El Dorado and more. A keen eye would notice this was no mere tornado however as glowing green splotches pervaded it. If struck, the Hollow would quickly feel the horrific burning sensation of caustic acid raining down upon him.

"Hadō #78: Zangerin!"
On the upswing, after releasing the blast of fire from Ōkasen, Mizu swiftly replicated the spell her opponent cast and opted to also hold the energy along her Zanpakuto. Instead of using it for unabated offense though, seeing Erika suddenly launch forward at her made Mizu aim for a different strategy. She drew the energy from Zangerin from her Zanpakuto and into her Sei-kotsu Sōkō-made armor, causing the plates of energy covering her to glow a brilliant yellow. With their energies clashing, a rainbow of spiritual sparks would fly in every direction from Erika's sword striking Mizu's armor.
When her armor stopped glowing, a tremendous crack along her side could be clearly seen, revealing even empowered it couldn't take Erika's strike unharmed. Knowing she couldn't just idly stand there while she waits for Erika to attack again, Mizu spun in place, already casting her next spell before coming to face her target "Hadō #58: Tenran - Apply Wind!" From her Zanpakuto a funnel twister quickly shot across to Erika. Enhanced by Genso Kakusan, the wind would be like a flurry of blades capable of shredding things to bits like a blender.

So.
This was it.
The stinging pain which was coming from his body was no doubt the only thing keeping his mind off the physical toll it took to produce so many Kido in a rapid succession, it was his speciality but the higher they are, the more dangerous they become to cast. Such a focus also on the orbs of water, it truly was a miracle at this given point as Akira was reminded of the exhaustion of battle, hearing a shriek that tore into the core, knees buckling lightly as a terror grasped at his core. Life had been…Simple…It was all he could ask for after the torment, yet his body didn’t obey him. Akira wasn’t giving in on a physical level, feeling flesh abhorrently sting in the cold air, Bakudo membrane barely able to defend and divert itself to other areas of the body.
Then an image hit him.
He had spoken to so many since coming out of his own idealistic sphere, Sabriel, a lovely Arrancar as far as one could go. Hana, a beacon of hope for the Shinigami and what they could become, Hannah to some degree, displaying a brand new depth to reiatsu, Calypso whom he had shared a philosophical engagement with. These individuals all had contributed in some small way to his desire to live, new possibilities.
Teeth sunk into the lower lip, as the Adjucha reared itself with the attack, watching an ungodly amount of mist now fall onto the town below, his Bakudo membrane only managed to barely protect him against those Balas but this was intent. There was a burst of reiatsu from the Shinigami, left hand raising despite the pain as he clawed it across his facial features, a defiant, vibrating and strained:
"No!”
Burst forth, a midnight blue aura fluctuating from Akira as the man knew that if death were to come to him, then he may aswell confront that terror, Zathrusta, they would both go down. The trembling leg stepped into a Shunpo above, as this acidic mist blew across upper torso, neck and thigh, watching as the membrane was swiftly being dissolved and eaten, a pale white mask with two slits covering his features as tentacle like chitin wrapped around the back of his head, infusing his reiatsu with hollow energy and increasing his power by a further fifty percent. Now. He had to do it now.
Akira’s hand burst forth, releasing an incantationless #58. Tenran, a burst of whirling wind decidedly attempting to come forth and cause disruption to movement from the Adjucha, he doubted any wind based attack would be truly damaging. It was to keep her focus occupied and by extension limit movement, as the priorly stored Hadō 88. The sphere exploded, unleashing this vicious and potent burst of lightning based energy as it jolted through mist, aiming to impact and cause a brutal explosion. Regardless of the outcome of this attack, such a shockwave and Akira’s current situation, stamina and burns made it evident that this would result in him willhelm shrieking across the sky.
The mask would break, body breaking through tree and mulch alike as his zanpaktou skidded across the ground.

Whether they meant too sound impressed or not, Fuurinji truthfully didn't care if they were impressed or not. Such things were not something that she cared for, and her focus stayed on the movements of the creature before her. When she raised her hand once more she noted the lack of size the newly formed energy was taking, though overall she was unfamiliar with the technique that was about to be used.
The noise that was made by them as they were fired was... similar to a Cero, yet deeper in their pitch, and though Fuurinji yet again moved as she 'saw' them fired, it was only the first that she managed to dodge successfully and without injury. The second she couldn't really say she dodged so much as lucked out, with the second movement of her Shunpo only managing to get the Bala to hit her arm rather than her sternum to which she let out a sharp shriek before the last three pelted her and sent her careening back into the mountain top below.
With gritted teeth she slammed into the rock, though she was quick to begin trying to pry herself free from where she'd landed it was clear from the slow and staggered movements that she was not expecting the impact from those bala's to have such a profound effect on her. Truth be told the words that the Adjuchas spoke were lost on Fuurinji, and it was now that she was understanding why it was Fukutaicho's that were sent to deal with these creatures. Yet even so she pulled herself back to her staggering feet, defiant to the end though... clearly outmatched.

It was both surprising and annoying for Fuurinji that Srath seemed rather adept at avoiding the technique that captured so many Hollows, and the fact she managed to escape told her at least one thing she needed to know... This hollow was not of the standard breed, if not a uniquely powerful hollow, than an Adjuchas at best. This was a problem in and of itself, while sure she could defeat the standard hollow easily enough, and a Menos if she got really lucky... She'd admittedly never fought an Adjuchas before. Such hollows were typically dealt with by the Fukutaicho's of the Gotei due to their strength.
However that was then, and this was now... She had no other options. As the hollow began to move its arm into position for its Cero, Fuurnji's ears twitched slightly and readjusted themselves to point towards her. As the Cero began to charge itself, her stance dropped low, almost crouching as if in anticipation. The moment it was released, Fuurinji was on the move almost immediately. Moving both upwards and to the left of where she was previously standing, though she said nothing as she focused her attention. When her Shunpo ended she was standing level with the hollow and only about forty-feet away from them. The speed at which the Cero had come out demanded her complete attention, any hesitation and any attempt she made to dodge would cost her dearly.
In truth her dodge had only barely gotten her out of the way in time, as was evident from the missing piece of her Shihakasho and the scorch marks that covered the side of her arm and leg. "Dangerous..." She muttered to herself. Fuurinji knew two things from that attack now, the first being any attempt at Kido would be shut down rather quickly due to how long it'd take for her to use them, and the second being that her speed would likely be her only possible saving grace.

Her meditation, while secluded from most, wasn't secluded enough it would seem, as it was interrupted by the rather foul smelling presence of a hollow and one that was at least more powerful in its Spiritual Pressure than hers. By the time it had made its way to the very top, Fuurinji had already stood, two Zanpakuto drawn and facing the creature. When it spoke, Fuurinji would give no immediate response, though it wouldn't be too long before she did. "And as always, they smell of foul and death." One Zanpakuto was held above her head, the blade facing outwards, while the second had its tip resting against the ground with the blade pointing inwards.
Fuurinji knew better than to underestimate hollows, doing such was something that could easily get one killed. So as she spoke her release phrase, the wind around her whipped up into a violent whirlwind, and before it dispersed of its own accord a shockwave erupted from within as she clapped the newly formed two tri-taloned gauntlets together.
As the shockwave went out and the tornado of wind that surrounded her dispersed, it wasn't gone entirely. Instead the surrounding area began to warp and twist around them, distorting directions and making everything seem everywhere all at once. "This is where you die, Hollow."

It didn't go without notice what Cala's ability was doing, the longer it went on the more obvious it became what it was. Now it was crystal clear what it was doing, but for Fuurinji such an act wasn't something she wasn't used too. She never had full control over her own Reiatsu when it came to how it escaped her, so she was used to the ebb and flow, one could even say she'd become accustomed to adapting to that waning and waxing. It did, however, mean that Cala had a more keen awareness than most would have inside of her technique, something afforded to very few people who didn't have a substantial amount of reserves above her own. Indeed the keen pesquisa of an Arrancarr helped additionally as well within it, as it had no effect on spiritual senses themselves only the physical ones.
However even so his movements were not unheard, and even should the Arrancarr mask most of his minor movements within his Fade he did not seem to be able to hide the noise either they or his charging cero made. While impressively fast with its charging, Fuurinji was able to use her Shunpo to move sideways and avoid it, after which she used another to close the distance, bringing her right hand forward in a fast and powerful Tesshō. Rather than expend energy on things not her Kaze Rogoku, she aimed to deliver a strike that had naught but the full strength she had.

Tesshō: Tesshō is completely reliant on the user's physical strength without any use of spiritual, and because of that is powered simply by a thrust of the arm. By thrusting forwards or downwards with the flat of their palm, the user of Tesshō has the ability to inflict devastating levels of damage to anything it hits. Though due to the nature of this attack, it is very physically demanding of its user.

Fuurinji's brows furrowed as she heard the response given by her would-be opponent. Never had she heard of such a thing, much like Shinigami, an Arrancarr must have a Zanpakuto for which its hollow powers were sealed within. To not have said release, would mean one could not have been a hollow. Yet to be an Arrancarr, one must have gone through being a hollow and all hollows had abilities and powers uniquely their own. Yet here she was, face to face with one claiming to have no such ability. Was this meant to waste her time? Or was this Arrancarr lying in the poorest and most obvious way imaginable?
If deception was the intent, such a thing would be difficult around Fuurinji's Shikai lest it not interact with the air that surrounded them. Yet all things, physical or spiritual, interacted with the air, there was naught she could not detect. However it mattered little, for the Arrancarr sought to 'blind' her in other ways. Yet while this made it more difficult, it did not affect her entirely nor was she unprepared for being unable to perceive less than what the wind touched. No if anything it merely gave her a bigger target and made it easier for Fuurinji to single out where her opponent moved too and intended to be.
It was easy enough to tell the ability centered against the mass of the Arrancarr, aside from that it wasn't like they were nullifying the wind itself and even if the images she got were brief it was more than enough. "I see..." Were the only words she spoke back before both arms raised to her sides, mere moments before the two gauntlets were slammed together. If Cala had assumed her Reiatsu connected to the wind before, they would only now realize how little of that was accurate.
For now the wind was suffused with her Reiatsu, so much so that the world around them began to twist and distort, the ground below now warped to their sides and above, clouds stretched to surround them and trees seemingly broke themselves apart and cascaded all around them. "Even should you stop the winds itself, you cannot hide from its imprisoning gale." Her voice was not coming from any one particular direction, rather its volume changed in direction at a seemingly constant rate. One syllable would sound like it was coming from the left, and the next from behind.
"Either Arianda sent me here to waste my time, or she has something else in mind. Either way matters not to me, only the test matters."

Fuurinji stood silent as the storm as Hyosuke returned, in kind, his own Shikai release, Benicho Kogo. In earnest she was hesitant on utilizing her own Shikai without a limiter, but now was no time for such doubts... Now was time for the storm to rage free. Fuurinji took in a deep breathe, her head leaning back slowly as her head lifted skywards before... She moved, utilizing every ounce of her speed and holding naught back as she did.
She'd first appear to come at Hyosuke from the front, yet in truth she was to his right. Her right hand raised backwards, the gauntlet in its entirety coated in a black Reiatsu. As soon as she was within three feet she thrust the arm forward, aiming to connect with and dig the sharp talons into, the bones of the shoulder. The question remained now, which direction was it that Hyosuke needed to move to block?

Minor Yin as an ability that coats the right hand with black energy, to which it enhances all touches, increasing the damage that hand causes. Minor Yin cannot be active whilst Minor Yang or Major Yang is, and vice-versa.

There was a few moments of silence between the two as each finished their respective cup of tea, before Hyosuke stood and broke the silence by having her follow him. Setting her cup down and nodding, Fuurinji stood and followed Hyosuke out to the courtyard. When he drew the X on the ground and motioned for her to start there, she tilted her head slightly but none-the-less did as instructed. Hyosuke then took his place a few feet away at the edge of the pond, and accepted her request for further training before giving her a suitable warning of what was to come.
Fuurinji gave a stern nod before grasping both of her Zanpakuto hilts, swiftly drawing each as she raised the left one above her head with the right moving towards the ground. Both blades faced towards Hyosuke before she swiftly carved each of them in their respective directions, the two blades swapping positions as she spoke "Whirl and Howl, Muraki Kamikaze" As she spoke the wind whipped up around her into a miniature tornado, producing a soft WHOOSHing noise before a three pointed talons pierced through and carved the tornado away. From within the whirling winds now stood Fuurinji with her Shikai release, two metal gauntlets that each had a triple talon formation on the edge that resembled a birds talon as if they were reaching out to grasp their prey.
Each talon was curved and gleamed in the sunlight, Each of the claws is adorned with intricate engravings that depict swirling winds and storm clouds, reflecting the two spirits housed within. "If I am found wanting, then it simply means I am not strong enough." As she said that, the bracelet that once adorned her wrist came falling to the ground, and as soon as it touched the ground Fuurinji slammed both of her gauntlets together. As she did a green-tinted eruption of wind came from the resulting shockwave, surrounding both of the combatants. Kaze Rogoku, a technique devised to trick and deceive even the most skilled of fighters, making fighting harder for most that were unaware of this technique and how it worked. However it was not one that Fuurinji used for offensive purposes, rather for defensive purposes to enable her to make swift counter attacks that left little time for a response from the other.

- Kaze-te mono (Wind-touched Things) - Kaze-te mono allows Fuurinji an enhanced version of her Wind reading, feeding her information directly about any and all things that disturb the wind within 60 meters of her, ensuring that very little can move around her without her knowing. This does not ensure she can react to that which moves, only that she is aware of it.
Kaze Rōgoku (風牢獄) - Wind Prison: Fuurinji slams her gauntlets together, Astral Winds, Winds infused with her Reiatsu, erupt from them causing everything that moves within 30 meters to begin losing themselves within the Winds. While one can escape from these winds, they will find it extremely hard as their sense of direction fails them. Fuurinji utilizes her Reiatsu to disrupt the targets spatial awareness and directional comprehension, causing them to be unable to process information about their surroundings to make it near impossible to understand directions. One can counteract these effects through various methods including, but not limited to, Spiritual Sensing abilities, such as something akin to Kaze-to Mono, as well as their other senses which remain unaffected. Additionally, Kido or other unique skills that act to nullify this kind of detriment would also work such as Bakudo #58, Kakushitsuijaku, which the users senses and awareness. To be clear, this does not prevent them from moving and being able to simply move out of the area of effect, but it without aid it is extremely difficult if not impossible to do so on sheer luck.
