SEAL OF ERIS

What It Is It: The Seal Of Eris is essentially Mana's stamp to those who are apart of her Mad Kingdom. It allows them to bound with madness and achieve new states of mind, body and being. It can be given remotely (i.e. Mana projecting the seal from a long range distance), or it can be done more intimately (such as Mana mating with a character or using touch to infuse it).

However, no matter which case occurs, the subjects (at least private characters) will have to give consent to Mana to perform this. Once they allow her to create this seal, they will become apart Of The Mad Kingdom and become marked with this seal.

How It Works: The Seal is in-tune with Mana's elements of madness, chaos and instability. So, it seeks to increase these constructs within a persons being. It will embed itself within their mind or soul and begin to pump it's influence within them through abstract metaphysical protocols. In turn, this can modify the nature of their powers, alter their thinking, rewire their emotions and begin shifting that person towards embracing their own instabilities, mania and all things unstable with themselves to awaken a new being as they bond further with the seal and find liberation of a self through it.

Effects On Characters

Potential For Increased Tier: Based on how in-depth the thread becomes, it is possible to receive tier upgrades. However, this only applies to those who receive the thread in character. It is also under the requirement that they train, the character attains a sense of character development and they are moving The Mad Kingdom plot forward. This is not something that you can attain simply by requesting The Seal Of Eris.

Altered Mind: The Seal Of Eris will change the characters state of mind. It can create a wide number of effects on their consciousness. It can increase their creativity, create more forms of abstract thought, increase their aggression, amplify their submissive sides, drown them in mania, bring out their unstable personality traits or whatever else have you. When it comes to negative, positive or indifferent effects; how it influences your character is 100% up to you. All that must be noted is that some change will occur with them mentally.

Corrupted Abilities: It is possible for The Seal Of Eris to begin influencing the abilities of other characters. An example of this is that Mana was able to alter the electricity of a human known as Ceal to take on more abstract priorities and values. This allowed her to create a form of chaotic lightning which yielded the potential to destabilize constructs around her, stun them and even zap the energy away from them.

Based on the nature of your characters abilities and current state of being, it is possible for their abilities to either: mutate, a new power to be born or a separate "Mad Form" to develop based on what route you desire your character to go down. As, once again, this is all 100% up to you and can be worked on with me.

Link To Mana: Most of those who are connected to The Seal Od Eris will be able to create a telepathic link to Mana. They can send her information relating to their madness growing, contacting her for missions or potentially even summoning her. And, it is possible for this two become a two-way strength and for Mana to attempt to lock on to the characters location if she should want to search for them or if there is a distress signal of sorts sent from their body.

How To Get It

There are two ways to get the Seal Of Eris. You can apply for it in this thread. Or, you can do it ICly with Mana and request a thread. If you request the thread, there is higher chances of better upgrades coming to your character since it will be a chance for you to develop your character.

I can also allow for pre-registrations of your Madness Related abilities. i.e. if you have an idea for a madness power, you can submit it in this thread, get it pre-approved and then we can RP it out if you wish to go that route as well. This whole thing is extremely flexible, so if you have any concerns, make them known and we can work them out.

Reason: Welp. In the Queen's Observation Room, Kokuto was given a small taste of what it would be like to side with Miss Manic Mana, and he will do anything to get stronger. Perhaps going down the path of madness is the key to true power?

Influences: Well, I think I should just wait to see how things play out for this guy. Since he is a Demon, I have been having a hard time thinking about how his abilities would be corrupt. If something could happen ICly, I'd be cool with it.

Influences: Well, first and foremost it would inspire her to take even greater risks. Since she's already rather manic and falls into the lines of insanity, this may not change much. But what should be able to take effect is the fact that it would corrupt her. Changing her powers to become more demonic to the point that she may even unlock a new power or two that'd fall -right- in line with the madness being further injected into her.

Reason: Simply because Inami is one of mana's sisters, she would want to bar those who wish to oppose her, and help her further her dream.
Thread: Preferably In thread
Influences: I have plans to make Inami the Davana of destruction and Catastrophe. But first her mind must embrace the more destructive sides of her nature, and crack the careful shell she has erected for herself, to finally allow her to release her inhibitions. Some effects i plan to have for this seal is to begin the descent into madness, corruption of her abilities for a time, and eventually this would be one of the contributors to the Queen of Chaya Nation finally becoming a davana. As this is going to be one of the major arcs i go down with inami.

Reason: Demonica herself has naturally been potrayed as a beast, demon, monster, and is in many ways a reflection of madness in it's most violent state, it would make sense for her to embrace further her own natural psyche by allowing mana to place this seal upon her.
Thread: Either In thread or Out Of Thread works
Influences:Demonica originally was a member of shadow fall but for many reasons ended up leaving the fold in a quest of self discovery, some of these reasons being she was accused of treason at one point [It was proven to be false] . However eventually she does plan to return, and even if possible i plan to have her become one of those who guards the black world against assault, as a protector. .Guardian, or whatever is needed [ You can pick that part] As such this seal is going to be something that is used to centralize her otherwise random plots and put her down a more linear path.
