...Well, fair enough. After he hit her in the stomach, it...kind of was fair for her to go for a cheap shot like that as well. He gave an sheepish smile, canting his head to the side for a moment as a silent acknowledgment. Not like he could give any other kind of gesture at the moment. But, he quickly felt a bit more embarrassed as she noted about his status compared to her and his lack of skill in Kido.

"I'm...working on it."

That was really all he could think of to say. As she curled a finger to turn him, he slowly got up, the spell being lifted. He felt a bit of uncertainty and nervousness as she declared that they were going back to the academy, drag him to the firing ranges, and make him cast Kido until he was able to do something decent. The promise of food was nice, but did little to quell his concern.

What the hell had he gotten himself into?
