"That was the ability Dark Pulse. It makes us ubearabely attractive to those of the opposite sex. It's how we lure in our prey and get the attention of certain targets in which the purpose is unknown... This is your first ability..." Sharu listened as he spoke about what had just happened to her and it almost made her swell with that oversized pride of hers that she was actually right about the fact he had caused the sudden change in emotion. She was still slightly disgusted at herself for it but figured if she was going to learn the skill that her Master wanted her to learn then she needed to get her head in the game.

"Desire... What you will do is take in the darkness within you and channel it into a sin. All our abilities are considered sins. Take that darkness and think of lust, just senselessly taking control of what you want, and making it beg for your attention... "Then release that urge and an aura will expand from your core, creating the dark pulse... Remember, I can read your thoughts now, so no tricky shit. Once you entice me, you will successfully have obtained this ability..."

"Desire.." She muttered to herself as she listened to his instructions. That would be something quite hard for her to do..She had only had physical desires concerning lust and passion enter her mind twice in her life..The second time being just a moment ago. But..she did remember how she felt the first time..when it occured naturally. She focused on that moment in time while channeling her energy. She kept her eyes on her master and focused her energy inwards towards that day where she had completely lost herself to passion and tried to make it to where instead of herself feeling hot and wantful..it would instead be Matthew feeling that way.

When she thought about all of the vampire movies and things she had read. She had a good notion that him being her master would make this impossible to work. However he said to try so she continued to channel all of her energy into lust and passion and slowly she began to project an aura with all of that lustful desire caked into it. She didn't know if it was truely working or not..but she continued to try anyways..and as she did so..her eyes shifted colors from brown to a deep crimson red. She felt her eyes change slightly but wasn't exactly sure why. She assumed it was a sign that her power was trying to work.

Desire...

Matthew watched as she was beginning to focus, and as she did, her thoughts entered Matthew's mind. As she focused and made herself enter that world ages ago, where Matthew began to slowly see what she was seeing. It would appear that this girl was indeed like Matthew. Matthew's goals were to place all aside, and become a God amung Demons. Though he was one class below that known as the Demon Lord, it wasn't good enough. He wanted to be the God of them, and he wasn't going to let the little things push him aside. It would seem this girl was the same, placing her desires of men aside to achieve something greater. This was not only admirable, but made her already attractive state to Matthew only grow.

At this point however, Matthew didn't know what was what. Was this new level attraction new, or fake from the pulse? He couldn't tell quite yet, but he payed attention to her as she continued to channel that energy of desire into the air. He then noticed something really interesting, and it was her newly obtained eye color. THe color of ones eyes reflected their personality as when Matthew was under the stages of his Personas, he first started with a blue left eye and a right red eye. Then he was split apart from his personas becoming 3 beings in total known as Dark Matthew, Neutral Matthew, and Light Matthew. Light Matthew had blue eyes, Neutral had green, and Dark had red. The color reflected your ideals, life, and personality where Dark Matthew was evil and had a life of blood gave him sinfully red eyes. Only his silver eyes appeared when using his abilities to a Class 4 stage. All Class 4 Caliga obtained silver eyes and a silver glow, but to Matthew it was somewhat distasteful, so he prefered the red...

Then, he felt it...

Matthew's heart had an awkward beat and noticed a bead of sweat emerge from his brow. He was warming up and could feel a developing urge of desire towards his slave and somehow wanted to take her away and do very dirty things to her...

At that moment Matthew waved his hand and spoke...

"That is all. Break your concentration, you've successfully obtained Dark Pulse..."

Leaning back in his seat, Matthew let out a sigh as he was somewhat surprised she achived it so quickly, yet she was managing to do so well, so why stop now? Also, now that the hardest ability was out of the way, the rest should be alright now~

"Okay... Now... Tell me, what are shadows?"

Sharu let out a deep breath as he said to release the ability..Almost happy about the fact he said that she released it immediately and felt more than a little awkward about how it had made HER feel.

"Okay... Now... Tell me, what are shadows?" He had asked her that but..She had never really thought about it. Once she had fought a wielder of the shadows named Yukio Kuroi..but he made her think that shadows were nothing more than darkness waiting to be controlled..perhaps that was the answer?

"To humans.. Shadows are just things cast when light is blocked by an object.. In my experience against wielders of the shadows it is more like darkness waiting to be manipulated into doing something. Something that could be forced to do the bidding of another. as if it were alive." She said almost like she was reading a textbook out of her own skull, "Why does the Master ask such a seemingly silly question? He should know the answer he is seeking far better than I since he too can manipulate the darkness that is called a shadow."

Sharu had actually surprised herself. She had always been intelligent to a point..but never had she actually been able to speak as if she was truely intelligent. This too must have been caused by her transformation..and she was definitely enjoying the feeling of pride it brought her.

She snapped out of her moment of self respect and focused more upon her masters face. When she did she was forced to avert her eyes for a second to regain her composure for when she looked at him a flash of how she had felt during his use of Dark Pulse swept through her mind and it made her feel a bit more awkward. She was still..and probably never would be..use to having experienced such a thing once again.

Now she simply stood there and waited to see if her answer had pleased her master or if she was about to learn what a shadow truely was.

Matthew sat there listening to her as she tried to explain what shadows were, but it was interesting as at first, she was trying to be serious in her response and speak as if it was to be intellectual towards this discussion, but it wasn't for Matthew to tell her if it's right or wrong, Matthew wanted to know what she thought of the world of Shadows. Instead, he got her questioning his methods, and this got on his bad side.

Feeling a tad annoyed Matthew immeditly fluxed his power to that of a 1-2, putting pressure on the entire area and causing the air to become thick like he did back at the cafe to the humans, but this was a LOT more than what he poured there. Here, he was putting the amount of what the Captain Commander of the Gotei 13 would put out to make a Vice Captain fall. He was annoyed with her response and it would seem that he needed to discipline her a little...

"You think I'd ask you a question of my mastery without knowing the answer??"

Matthew's eyes went from a silverish glow, to the red glow they posess once again. He decided to make things interesting as the shadow that surrounded Sharu's feet began to rise up and seperate itself from the ground. Finally standing before Sharu was now a perfect copy of herself but it was a shadow. A complete aspiration...

After doing that, Matthew supressed his power allowed the area to seem calm and not so heavy as he went to explain to Sharu what was right...

"Shadows aren't their own thing wishing to be manipulated. There is a seperation between Shadows and Darkness, and the thing is, Shadows are meerly imitations. They are a force of nature in heinsight and they copy what they see. They are easy to control since they simply wish to copy what is before them. Like what you see before you, that is meerly your shadow, copying you..."

Matthew leaned back relaxing again and letting out a small smirk...

"Connect the shadows with your mind however, and they will copy what they see in your subconcious. Think it, and it will happen as they will copy your very thoughts..."

Matthew then lifted his hand as the shadow of Sharu began to gain eyes that glowed a dark crimson red...

"Tell me Slave... How does one beat a direct copy of ones self? How do you defeat one that mirrors you?"

This was her test...

Defeat your Shadow copy to obtain a bond between yourself, and the very things of their own realm that copy reality...

She stubbornly managed to stay on her feet but it was quite obvious physically and spiritually that his sudden outburst of power was affecting her. However her oversized ego disallowed for her to fall and she struggled to remain standing. Master was displeased that she questioned him..something she would try to remember not to do in the future.

Thats when he created a shadowy copy of herself and told her more what shadows were in his own opinion. She listened very intently and tried to fully understand what he was saying. Connect with the shadows with her mind? She didn't quite understand it..but she figured she might as well try.

Sharu's first instinct was to shoot the little bastard of a shadow that attempted to copy her..only for it to fail miserably as the thing did the exact mirror of her movements and cancelled out the attack.

"...Connect..with my mind?" She said as she looked from the shadow to Matthew then back to the shadow. She closed her eyes and started to thinkonly of the shadow infront of her and decided to make the image in her head turn into something cute..a fluffy bunny. When she opened her eyes however..the image was still copying Sharu herself. She kept the mental image in her mind of the fluffy bunny hopping around and decided to try and control the shadow in a similiar way that she had used Dark Pulse. By attempting to exert her will through channeling her dark energy.

Her body seemed to shiver slightly as she focused but alas she didn't seem to grasp it. The image did not change to that of a fluffy bunny! She thought she saw the image change a little bit but when she blinked and looked again it was still the same as Sharu..except as a shadow. She frowned as she realized what she was trying wasn't really working all that well. She glanced at her master for a split second but returned her focus to the shadow. He was testing her out and she wanted to prove herself..So she'd have to figured out how to do this.

Watching this was somewhat amusing. For some reason, her first instinct was to use physical force. This of course did nothing but lead to failiure as everything was canceled out. Sharu shot out, and the copy shot out as well, managing to do nothing but kill time. She seemed to also be a little frustrated as she then followed up by forcefully transforming the object into nothing different. This was indeed something that showed Matthew that his little slave wasn't a prodigy, but she had combat expertise instead of intelectual expertise. This would classify her as more of a Rook or a Bishop in these stances as she could fight using force from long distances...

"Observe..."

Matthew then took his own shadow, as it managed to form up from the ground and take shape of a chair with a man sitting inside it. Moving his arms around, Matthew made she shadow copy his every move as his arms waved back and forth, but suddenly, Matthew set down his arms as the shadow continued to wave it's arms...

"The Shadow follows the physical body, yet my body is doing nothing... The mind tells the body what to do, so in essence, the shadow follows the minds control. You do something, but your mind does different. I tell my body to move it's arms, yet I manage to set my arms down..."

A spark lit from Matthew's eye as he looked upon Sharu with a smile of expectation...

"Finish the job..."

And when he said that, his own shadow managed to shatter into nothingness, as another shadow reappeared below him...

Sharu blinked as she watched her master control his own shadow and nodded at him as he spoke. she then turned to the copy of herself and tilted her head. Watching it do the same in mirror of her. From his words she gathered she was only doing it half right before when she was trying to manipulate it through will. She didn't have the mental state required to make it work when she tried earlier.

Once again she focused on the shadow and this time it moved its head on its own. The body and mind are separate things..? She should have realized it sooner.. Especially considering her most recent experience with her own will waking her from slumber. she put her hand to her chin and watched as the shadow began to dance like a russian. Even doing the little jumps with the legs parted while in the air. The sight actually made her giggle. She looked over at her master as she made the Shadow begin to waltz around the room like it owned the place while spinning and jumping and dancing.

She believed she had begun to understand exactly how to use this power.. Though..She was using a shadow that her master had created..She wanted to use one she made. So instead..she stopped focusing on the shadow he had made and began to create one herself using her own shadow. Successfully she made it rise up as if it were a living being and made it run around her in a circle. She then decided to try and see if she could control BOTH of the shadows at once. She looked from one to the other and then stopped moving her head. She made the twin images of herself begin to do the tango together and again she giggled. This was a very entertaining power but she did understand just how dangerous it could become to her enemies.

"Sorry for the childish game with the shadows Master.. it was hard to resist making them dance and be funny to my eyes." she said as she bowed and both shadows did the same before her own disappeared back into its rightful spot. The other shadow seemed to shatter just like the other one that her Master had created leaving her by herself with Matthew once again.

"I'm also sorry I didn't get it on the first try.. I am a quick learner though..at least..I think so." She added before standing straight up and preparing herself for the next task he was probably going to set before her. Now..all she could do was await his response.

Matthew watched and observed how Sharu managed to get in touch with her mind and body and seperate the two, causing her shadow to thus begin dancing around like a fool. Matthew didn't pay any attention to the Shadow as Sharu was mildly entertained with herself, she even began to manipulate her own shadows and cause the two to dance. The entire time, Matthew's eyes were focused on Sharu, reading her mind and observing her every element. Matthew entered a kind of trance as he watched Sharu, investigating her for the possibilities of her position within Matthew's mission. She was perfect for long distances and would work substancially for surprise attacks. This was perfect for the role of Bishop within Matthew's court...

Matthew's focus was snapped when Sharu apologized for her childish act. She seemed to think that she was at fault for what was deemed as her personality, and to Matthew, he honestly didn't care. She then proceeded to apologize for not getting it done on her first try. Matthew again didn't care, because she was already doing well for fighting the internal pain of her body and moving foward with this progress. She took all this down in one afternoon while the average Caliga takes two weeks to understand these abilites...

Either way it wasn't done yet...

Matthew noted that Sharu stood up straight as if to portray standing at a position of attention, to obey his next command. Now while she was correct in doing so as her Master's slave, she was incorrect in Matthew's very ideals...

"Sharu... Come sit next to me..."

Matthew was still sitting in a lounge chair, but he wanted to see what approach she would take. Would she sit close to him, sitting on possibly the arm of the chair, or on the floor beside him? Or would she be so disconnected as to grab a nearby chair to sit at a distance or just stand?

Matthew decided before continuing her training, he should probibly talk to her, and allow the two to get to know one another a bit more...

It'll be good for the both of them...

Sharu nodded and grabbed a chair pulling it beside her master. She wasn't sure what he wanted or what was going through his head..but something in her gut told her that she was doing well. She liked that idea and went along with it. Besides.. she figured if she was being a failure.. Matthew would have told her by now and been more disappointed in her.

"What is it Master?" She said to him after she sat down. A thousand questions were running through her head..most of which about what else she was capable of while others were more about Matthew himself. She realized she had agreed to this with no knowledge of the man whatsoever..not that she really cared at this point. Any doubts she had faded the moment she had a flashback concerning what she said to him during her transformation. She would kill everything if that was what he wanted.

Her eyes seemed to gleam with the returned bloodlust as she began to recall why she had accepted his offer in the first place. She was a rapid dog.. a mercenary. This man was her boss now and that was something that was not going to change anytime soon if Sharu had anything to say about it.

He had promised excitement and fun. Killing and fighting was something Sharu deemed to fit within those categories. Her face seemed to return to the same heartless evil face it had been when she spoke to him as a human. Her eyes seemed to go emotionless as she recalled the memories of how she originally came to realize that the world was full of false justice and a waste of time. That day...she was completely changed..just like this day. Except this time..she embraced all the changes happening to her.

"Not good enough..."

Matthew opened his hand as suddenly shadows went from below him, and grabbed the chair that Sharu sat in, and pulled her close to him. She was no right in front of him to were they could literally look eachother eye to eye and speak to one another...

Matthew felt this was nessicary seeing as he wanted to have a conversation with her, and have the ability to talk to one another as not only comrades but as Master ans Slave. To Matthew this meant more than just orders and obeying them, but understanding. What was ignored here was the fact that even though Matthew was her Master, she was too obedient, and was trying to conform to a natural order of things. This was annoying because that was the very thing Matthew sought out to destroy...

"My name is Matthew Hinote. I am a Caliga born from a Dark Caliga named Alucard and a Holy Caliga named Barbara..."

Matthew wanted the trust level between Sharu and him to be secure. Without trust, there can be no real partnership, and thus there needs to be a base of communication so they could work on total par...

"I was origonally one being. One with red and blue eyes who lived a life in Twilight, between light and dark. I was a guardian for two women named April Redwood and Mizore Shirayuki, but as time went on, things changed. Eventually, the dark side of myself was shut away and my eyes became blue, but when April was brought back into my life after a disappearance, my inner darkness burst free and I became a total of three beings..."

This was a time when Matthew became Light Matthew, Neutral Matthew, and Dark Matthew. This was when Light Matthew was married to Mizore and had children, Dark Matthew was off doing his own thing, and Netural Matthew was learning bonds with Jade, but nothing is forever, as at that time, Dark Matthew returned to the Caliga court and killed his race off, including his own Mother, Barbara Hinote, the only Holy Caliga to live...

"I killed my own Mother and ended my own race as we were imperfect. They wanted to believe in a false idol and live like we weren't creatures of darkness. Embodiments of sin. Then, after them, I went after my other Personas..."

That was when Dark Matthew returned to fight Light Matthew and Neutral Matthew. The fight between the three was intense, but in the end, Dark Matthew killed off Light and Netural Matthew becoming the final persona...

"After I won the fight, I went after the 'Family'... I killed Mizore and Light Matthew's children, as well as Jade, Neutral Matthew's only friend... Then I met someone named Saeko who became my frist Queen."

That of course changed recently as his court disappeared...

"When I disappeared to attain the powers of a Demon Lord, I returned to see Saeko gone. She disappeared and left her true intent behind, which is why she is a target and to return to me as my Queen. And my court will return so we can take down Touketsu and take our place in the Demon Realm..."

Matthew looked at Sharu with expectations, but of course he didn't expect her to respond. He just felt that if he told her about himself, she would understand and trust him further...
