CAPTAIN NAGOSHI KANAE

As her violet eyes set upon her golden foe once more and the arrogant creature spoke, Kanae's smile faded and morphed back into an annoyed grimace. It's refusal to just accept its death and die was bothersome. Kanae was no fan of things that don't die, after all, all the fun is in killing. And now it was asking for her name? Foolish Hollow. thought Kanae as she too leapt from the massive creature and stood in the air, level with El Dorado.

"I don't make a habit of introducing myself to corpses, Hollow. There will be no one to remember you after this. In fact, I've already forgotten your name."

Kanae shot like a bullet toward El Dorado, her sword still tucked away as she neared him; then, as she reached his head, the Captain drew her Zanpakuto and aimed a skull-splitting slash to cleave through his mask. With every movement of her weapon viridescent acid splashed in every direction. But she didn't stop there; with every atom in her body pushing forward, demanding El Dorado's death, Kanae drew Tosatsusha, slashed with it, at the Hollow's mask, neck, arms, everything, in a terrible flurry of steel. Just like with Asher she would relentlessly tear through her enemy until it could no longer regenerate or fight back, and then keep tearing and tearing until naught remained.

During her torrent of attacks she showered El Doraddo with, Kanae got in particularly close and, with a raised hand, aimed to burn him to a crisp Hadō:Hadō #33. Sōkatsui." An azure flame ignited at her fingertips before quickly erupting into a tidal wave that spread to encompass a wide swath of the sky.

An appropriate response Shura thought, leaving Saera with few injuries overall as she made her retreat, though Shura herself had an arm that was not only scorched black but had been thrust backwards from the force. However shortly after Saera charged forward again, which itself was followed by the release of her Zanpakuto. This was what she had expected from the woman round one, however it seemed to take awhile for her to finally be at the point of simply doing it.

Shura however wasn't one to simply wait for her to approach to respond, and as the chained club made its appearance Shura's form flickered away in a Shunpo. Her movement was directly upwards about fifty feet, one arm outstretched with the other placed on it as a brace "Hadō no Sanjyuichi, Shakkahō" A small red flame appeared in front of her hand before erupting forth to shoot down towards Saera, aiming to explode on impact with whatever was first to make contact with it.

Rather than continue the Incantation for the failed Bakudo, Shura instead opted to prepare a different strategem, this time a Hadō, when at last Saera leapt forward towards her, Shura did not attempt to move out of the way nor did she even attempt to block... But rather she raised a single hand towards the leg as it came down towards her "Hadō no Sanjyusan, Sōkatsui" An upwards crackling of blue cone-shaped lightning erupted from her palm, giving Saera all but no time to properly escape though perhaps she might erect some kind of defense in time though Shura doubted it.

Regardless of Saera's actions, it was unlikely she'd be able to mount an immediate counterattack. Indeed Saera's recovery gave plenty of announcement that wasn't her next goal and instead chose to speak yet more on matters she knew naught about. "For someone who wished to fight, you do an awful lot of talking."

Chihiro not only managed to recognize the immediacy of the Kido, but dodge it rather quickly as well! Impressive to say the least. As shura turned to face her once more she applied that adhesive to her hand in an attempt to prevent Shura from releasing her Zanpakuto... as if she had any intention of doing that. However what she said after was... perhaps the wrong thing to say. "Don't go regretting those words Chihiro Sano." Shura lifted her right foot up before slamming it full force down onto the front of her Zanpakuto that was held to the ground, causing another miniature shockwave to be sent through the ground once more as her Reiatsu Pressure roared around her.

As she uttered those words Shura didn't care if she was covered with the honey of Chihiro's shikai and made no attempt at dodging it. However as her single axe split into two axes half the size, connected via a chain, she reached forward to grab onto Chihiro's face and hold her tight. "I will give you a single chance to rescind those words, you are not ready for my full strength."

Her words weren't spoken with malice, they were spoken as a genuine warning to Chihiro, however while she allowed Chihiro to contemplate her choices she wouldn't simply sit idle and instead began to chant "Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hadō no Sanjyusan..." The incantation would take some time to finish, during which all Chihiro had to do was rescind her previous statement of wanting Shura to 'quit playing around'. However while Shura's next move was only filled with enough power to knock out Chihiro, if she failed to rescind those words the final word would be spoken. "Sōkatsui..."

If that final word was spoken, a roaring torrent of blue Reiatsu would erupt from her hand, intent on hitting Chihiro point blank.

It worked... good. With that being said it wasn't hard to see she was winded at a minimum, and heavily damaged at worse. Shura flicked the chain once more once the clones shattered, pulling the axe back to her hand before hanging the chain over her shoulder. Her head was hung low, her hair somewhat matted from her exertions. She at least seemed to listen while Noharu spoke, even if she wasn't looking at the woman. However as she walked up to her and spoke of the fight ending, as well as extending her hand... Shura's free hand moved upwards grasping Noharu's, and gripping down with all her strength.

This was either the brightest move in the world, or the dumbest decision ever made. Her other hand dropped the axe it was holding as Shura spoke but a few, brief words "Hadō no Sanjyusan, Sokatsui" A bright flash of blue energy erupted from her hand, intent on striking Noharu point blank with Shura's hand acting to hold her there and nullify her speed advantage entirely.

Another lecture, as if they were both in the academy still and, truth be told it was more irritating than most of everything else she'd done. It wasn't necessarily that she was wrong or out of her element with her statements, but in truth the lecturing nature of her statements made Shura less inclined to care or pay much attention to them. However Shura had the inclination that she had other intentions than a simple lecture, such learning came from prior encounters with individuals who had vastly surpassed either of them, though the exact nature of her intent eluded her.

So while she prattled on, Shura focused more on what she was doing rather than the words she spoke and moved forward. Shura herself took a half-step backwards as her eyes narrowed, though one might congratulate Noharu on her next trick. It was an attack that was clearly practiced to some extent, one that was only narrowly reduced in intensity by Shura. She couldn't react fast enough to dodge the brunt of the attack that was for sure, and while she was sent flying backwards the blow was lessened only by a small amount with a Shunpo that went backwards after the blow had connected.

However while it lessened the direct impact by at least a small amount, the backwards speed combined with the force that she was hit likely increased the indirect damage caused by hitting the wall behind her. However while she made no movements after hitting the wall, Noharu continued to speak though for a significantly shorter amount of time and only to ask if the spar was to continue or if Shura was to concede. However there was no response from Shura, at least not immediately. "A brat no more. It is time, Shura."

Words within her mind from her Zanpakuto, words of affirmation... But was Noharu deserving or even truly worthy of it? Shura didn't think so. Noharu wanted to see something from Shura... Hakaishin wanted Tenbatsu. "Bakudo no Nijyuroku, Kyokkō" Shura would not do as Hakaishin wanted however, not this time... Such a technique would be wasted upon Noharu who would not see the value in such. So as her Body and Reiatsu faded from view and sense she pried herself from the wall, using her Shunpo to move forward and to the right. Before the spell ended she would ensure Noharu would understand... It was the only way. So whilst hidden from view and sense she would extend out one hand in a cone-shape and speak.

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hadō no Sanjyusan, Sokatsui"

A roar of blue fire erupted forth, to coat the entire area in front of her with a torrential downpour of Reiatsu. Noharu's speed was impressive, but how does one dodge that which covers everything was what Shura was thinking.

MORIKAWA MIZU | 2nd Division Vice Captain

The large storehouse the duo found themselves in wasn't quite intimidating to young Mizu, but it was certainly foreboding. She could sense something different within the structure, and with the appearance of the strangely dormant hounds from Hell topping it, Mizu was pretty certain their true enemy could be hiding or held within.

Ira's plan worked just fine for MIzu, who was ready to defeat the shadowy figure behind all this and return to Soul Society. She could do with a good night's rest and an opportunity to properly grieve her fallen comrade. "Sounds fine to me, Ira-san. I'll prepare while you smash it open."

With all of her ire, all of her pent up rage and revenge-seeking pouring out of her soul, Mizu raised her palms at the door as her companion went to smash it open. ""Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws." Only once Ira had smashed open the facility's door did Mizu finish casting her spell "Hadō #33: Sōkatsui!" From her palms a sizable wave of fiery blue energy exploded forth and ravaged the storehouse's innards, spreading volatile power to its every corner.

"Heh. Yeah I expected that. I look forward to see the other tricks you got now". Hearing that the blonde haired Quincy's competitive response. He expected nothing less. Finishing is dance of movement away from the electric pillars attacking him, the building gaze of intense focus meeting Solomon's confident expression. As Tento felt the force of his energy clash against Solomon's electric blade. A buzz in the air was quick an interested gaze as Solomon shifted Keraunos forward in their grapple.

Tento felt the enery shift around, the thunderous sparking pillars of reishi avoided before now turning as his kick to the head was avoided. With a quick vanish Solomon moved away from the attack, coming to Tento's side to throw out his blade once again. In response Tento quickly turned throwing out his blade to clash with the electric cloaked blade. As he did this he would extend his other hand backwards towards his back, using Hadō #33. Sōkatsui to unleash a dense bright wave of blue flames from his palm. The torrent of blue energy being fired with increased size to consume the 8 pillars attempting to fly in from behind.

Shifting forward Tento would press his sword into Solomon's, tilting down before sliding up against Solomon in a feint before throwing a knee strike to the gut before bringing his sword out in a quick slash. Before hoping back and lunging forward in a stab.

His whole body was on fire -- not just because of the fiery arrows that his opponent had let loose on him. He wasn't as durable as he'd like to be -- but, he wasn't exactly a powerhouse, far from it, really. Even still, Kikoto prepared to try and get further into the air, but, Nero was not going to let that happen.

Another seemingly endless barrage of burning arrows tore through the empty air, impaling him again and again. He brought his arms up to protect his head and face, but, it did little besides direct the pain and damage elsewhere. Falling and crashing to the ground, Kikoto struggled to get up.

He knew that he still had enough spiritual energy to do at least one last attack. Physical energy, however? Yeah, he was running really low on that. As he tried to keep himself guarded, he mumbled the incantation to himself, putting all of his energy into this last attack:

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hadō #33: Sokatsui!"

Promptly turning around, Kikoto held his hands out, and another discharge of blue flames surged from his hands, engulfing the arrows in his immediate vicinity and targeting Nero. It wasn't anything particularly impressive compared to the Kuchiki Clan members that could use this, but it was his last resort. He wasn't going to try and hurt himself or worse by trying to overindulge -- at least, not now.

Were he stronger and had more energy, he'd try and throw out Kurohitsugi or something. But, for now, he was fine with just trying to use Sokatsui to create a show of his own before he would be done.

Seaside Fight Night: Kikoto vs Nero

KIKOTO TSURATA | UP-AND-COMING SHUNKO SAVANT

Finding out that Nero had a sword was, unexpected. Quincy were supposed to be ranged fighters, weren't they? Well, it wasn't entirely unreasonable -- he was a mix of the two anyhow. He'd just have to get around the sword! He'd prove himself better than this guy! Kikoto showed no fear as he slipped from side to side to avoid the tip of the sword. However, he was not perfect, and there were many cuts, grazes, and stabs that hit him as he tried to avoid Nero.

Nevertheless, he was quick to continue his assault, sneaking in mixes of jabs, kicks, and blasts of low-level, small-scale Kido. With the range that they were at, he couldn't waste time reciting a chant. Byakurai was enough for now! Even if spamming it would probably eventually come back to bite him. So, as Nero made another thrust of his sword, Kikoto jumped back, placing his hands on the ground.

"Bakudo #21: Sekienton!"

At the spell's utterance, red smoke burst from where his hands were, putting a bit more energy into it to try and smother the two of them in smoke. Kikoto quietly moved through the smoke, keeping his Reikaku centered on Nero as he went to attack from the side. Standing a decent distance away, Kikoto held up both of his hands, each a distance apart from one another, and began to recite a prior chant.

"Ye lord! Mask of blood and flesh, all creation, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Inferno and pandemonium, the sea barrier surges, march on to the south! Hadō #31: Shakkaho!"

A red orb manifested at his palm, but he wasn't done yet. Keeping the red orb at his palm, he started reciting another chant.

"Ye lord! Mask of flesh and bone, flutter of wings, ye who bears the name of Man! Truth and temperance, upon this sinless wall of dreams unleash but slightly the wrath of your claws. Hadō #33: Sokatsui!"

Blue flames crackled and sparked to life on his other hand, and Kikoto brought his hands closer together, before suddenly unleashing a wave of red and blue fire from each hand. The Shakkaho and Sokatsui surged toward Nero, tearing through the smokescreen. Were it to hit, it would likely cause rather substantial damage as the two mid-level Kido would explode on impact, sending a mixed wave of blue and red fire in all directions.

It was far from cost-efficient, but it looked awesome, and it'd deal a lot of damage if it hit! Take that, pretty boy!
